From my perspective, F2 is not an acceptable keyboard shortcut for editing the active cell. Ctrl+e sounds much more reasonable to me. Ctrl+e currently initializes "pattern fill", which, uhh, doesn't even have anything to do with the letter e.
I don't need Microsoft to change this keyboard shortcut for *everyone*, but I want to change it for myself. As I continue to learn about Excel, there will probably be more things I want to improve, to match my personal workflow requirements.
As I am a laptop user, I do not have easy or direct access to the function row.Alex Pawlowski supported this idea ·
