Hi all,
We have been working on this, and wanted to get your feedback on how you see this feature fitting into your workflow. We have a quick one question survey for you to give us your thoughts on the look and keyboard shortcuts we have at this time. Please see here for more: aka.ms/datePickerSurvey
Thanks!

Luli Viray, that is already an option. Change the format of the cell to "number", and then go into "More Number Formats" under the number formats drop down. (If you can't find this box, it is under the Home Tab, in the Number Section, and the default format for each cell is General. Click that drop down to change it to a number.)
Also, if you have suggestions for new features, please make you own post. Right now you are commenting on a different post that is unrelated to your suggestion.
Hope this helps!

Gretchen, the rule itself cannot take a table reference. It automatically converts that reference into a range and then that range fragments, even though the table uses that conditional formatting as the default column format and applies it to your new row. The end result is a lot of fragmented rules.
You guys should go join the party at the other conditional formatting suggestion. Yours was just posted there. Every few months, there is a flurry of comments about how messed up it is that MS hasn't fixed this. Pretty entertaining. Your suggestion was just posted there, so you may be getting more up votes soon.

A column filter would be great. Definitely can think of reasons to use that. Only problem I can see is what would they do with cell A1? It would maybe have two filters in it.

Reposting this comment from another similar suggestions: I like this idea in principle, but please don't make it so that dark mode REQUIRES a black workbook. I like my workbook to stay white, but love dark mode. Please don't make me switch back to grey or colorful just to keep my working space white.

Thank you for taking your time to suggest and vote for this. We do think that this suggestion has merit, but we don’t think that we’ll be able to devote time to it in the near future. We’ll continue tracking votes for it so we know how it ranks among the other suggestions.

Thanks for supporting this feature. We won’t be able to in the near future, but we understand that it would be a nice improvement. Even though it seems like a straightforward idea, it is quite complex since named ranges can be dynamic, meaning that the range is calculated when the workbook is calculated.
We’ll continue tracking votes for this suggestion.

Thomas K, I have researched the advanced filter and unfortunately while it can approximate this functionality, it does not do what I am describing here. When I have an auto filter applied, I want the ability to paste in a list of values from a non-table source and have excel filter to only those values. The advanced filter requires me to clear my auto filter, process the data, and then I can only filter once based on the advanced filter criteria.
Maybe a better way to put it, if I paste 10 values into the search, it would be nice for it to return all 10 values rather than just allowing the first value I paste in there. That would be another way to get at what I am trying to do.
