I hate to say that but after 20+ years of using Microsoft Office, I and my company are finally moving to Google Docs for one simple reason; NO LINKS BETWEEN SPREADSHEETS...
I have been waiting to hear something back from MS Team on this, hoping that they can add this to Microsoft 365 but still nothing after almost a year. We cannot wait any longer to go on cloud and had to make a decision. I know we are not a huge company, just 250 employees, but if MS doesn't take care of their customers and small businesses like us, it won't end good for them.
Setting up an entire cloud account for 200+ employees is not an easy task and definitely not easy to switch back and forth. Once companies, like us, go to Google, they wont come back to MS...

Since a lot of users are waiting for this new functionality, we should get some updates on the progress of this project. ETA or even a certain day of completion because as stated above, "the work for External Links for Excel on the web" has started back in October. That is 5 months ago.
Maybe not too many users need this functionality but it's vital for the others and a complete deal breaker.
We are an other small business that invested heavily in MS and currently fighting for not to switch to Google Suite just for that function alone.
    Please keep us posted.
    Thank you.
