I have office 365 and can utilize xlookup and xmatch...great tool. However, many of the customers that I create for have Office 2013, 2016, and 2019 and are not enrolled in Office Insider.
Therefore, they cannot use my worksheets that have xlookup and xmatch in them. That means that I have to develop product for them using OLD technology.
That is bad for me and bad for them and puts Microsoft in bad light because everyone believes that it COULD be made available in previous versions (especially 2016 & 2019) which users have paid for with expectations that comparability with new features such as xlookup and xmatch would be available. I think that the excel platform/engine did not have to be completely redesigned to make xlookup and xmatch work only in office 365.
Users view the unavailability in more recent previous releases of excel as a marketing ploy by Microsoft to move to only Office 365.
Microsoft...please make xlookup and xmatch available at least in the more recent releases of excel...Thank you.Joseph supported this idea ·
