    But the paste button (or, if you prefer keyboard shortcuts, Alt-E,S) includes a dropdown lots of options for pasting format, column width, values only, formats, etc. Therefore I disagree, unless there's a user option to decide on the default option for pasting.

    As far as your last sentence is concerned - it sounds like you want to reference data in an external spreadsheet, not copy and paste the content of a cell. If so, then there are tutorials online to show you how to link to external data so that it updates any changed values.

    I've only just noticed this happening after the latest update to Excel. Does this mean that the option already exists and it's been reset by the update?

    I can't see how zoom should ever be considered part of the edit list that would need to be included in undo. I have to use zoom all the time in big spreadsheets and it completely disrupts the undo function.
