If there are multiple documents open and minimized, any with unsaved changes, and I right-click the taskbar and choose "Close all windows" then it just flashes at me, leaving all windows minimized. It should at least bring a document with unsaved changes to the foreground, to prompt if I want to Save or Cancel, like it does when there is only one document open.
For reference, I ensured my taskbar combining behavior for multiple instances is correct as per this article: https://contexturesblog.com/archives/2018/11/08/how-to-close-all-excel-files/

P.S. It would be even better if simply opening an Excel document wouldn't automatically create unsaved changes in certain cases (e.g. an onload VBA macro, or a spreadsheet created thru an interop with automatic sheet updates disabled so it refreshes on open).
