    Hi Joseph,

We are now shipping a feature called Sheet View on Excel for the web that can help you sort and filter while collaborating with others. You can accomplish your tasks in a Sheet View without others impacting your workflow. Learn more here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Excel-Blog/Sheet-View-is-generally-available/ba-p/1032576

We’ve started the rollout to users on Excel for the web and will be available to all Excel for the web users within the coming weeks.

    Thanks!

Daniel, It's not a real support account

    Peter Collins commented  ·

@Johannes No it's not, putting it in ProPlus puts a vital feature behind a further paywall. If they implement custom views for desktop, but put it behind a ProPlus subscription, it'll be a disgusting measure. The existence of Pro Plus is disgraceful enough, gating off functions behind a pro subscription that's dramatically more expensive than the regular Business Premium solution is disgusting.

    ProPlus is a disgrace

If you can't edit the values in the personal view and have them reflect on the normal view, then this features missing a huge part of the point.

It's disabled in excel online, no sign of it in the offline application though

Dear Microsoft, please listen to the Anonymous and their oft inappropriate content.

Write to your congressman and demand personal filters for Excel

Microsoft confirmed this will be released after Half-Life 3

    Guessing no-one does

@Sebastian Excel 2019 isn't a new version, it's just updates Microsoft have already made in Office 365. So, no it doesn't.

There's no point to having this filter / sort functionality if you can't edit what your filtering on without imparing what others are doing. Alternatively, if there was any way for something like Powerquery to feed back into the table being queried, that would be nice.

    Peter Collins commented  ·

Not just filter, we need to be able to edit the data by what we've filtered

There's a bigger thread on this for excel online. I want to say, this also need to happen for the desktop versions. It can't be just for Excel Online.

Thanks to Graham for starting this conversation. If you would also like Excel to maintain named range references and structured table references in the “applies to” field for Conditional Formatting rules, please add your comments and vote this one up. We will prioritize accordingly.

    Thanks,
    Steve (MS Excel)

    @roy

What if, if you apply it to a named range... it applies to a named range?

    Peter Collins commented  ·

Microsoft probably need to redesign how Tables work entirely. Or just make a new Tables program and we'll use that instead
