    I am not seeing new recent activity in this space. It is possible you are seeing this less due to our on-going performance investments including in speeding up our grid rendering. Details on latest speedups are at

    That said, if you still are experiencing this please provide specifics on your configuration and monitors… better still please send feedback about the problem from within Excel (go to Help > Feedback), which will include some diagnostics to aid our investigation.

    I'm having the same issue with scrolling in Excel files resulting in a greyed-out worksheet and an inability to view the selection box around a cell. I'm still able to manipulate cells via the menu options (e.g., make text bold, or change text size), but these changes don't "update" until I do something like select the dropdown menu for text size. I can also close the file using the "X" in the upper right, but am unable to change the menu ribbon, for example.

    I am using Windows 10 on a brand-new Dell XPS13 9380 with touch screen. I tried reducing the display scaling to 100% per Roy's comment and this didn't work.

    Any ideas?
