I tried going down the .NET path vs. VBA...and I have to say VBA is the right approach...light weight...built in to Excel...and a much simpler event handling structure... .NET has too many overlapping events requiring lots of extra flags to filter event logic...just too much...FAIL!!
That said...Excel VBA needs some upgrades...adding user form controls for calendar and framing for charts and pivot tables makes sense...VBA beats .NET and Microsoft should pursue a VBA language team...but do NOT force .NET on us!!Mark Freeman supported this idea ·
