Thanks for your contribution! I was not aware of SIPs.

I followed the instructions in the ReadMe.txt file. Batch code signing of OOXML files worked like a charm. However, I could not verify the signatures using Signtool, but all VBA macros tested were reported as signed by Office.

I guess this request should be considered resolved!

This is an interesting idea. Could you provide an example of the layout that is of interest? Is it simply a 90 deg. rotation of what we have in XL 2016?

Scott - this chart is included in most competitive viz software (paid & free). It's a no brainer, you don't need 1K votes to realize how widespread its use in business is. If you guys have coded a horizontal version and cannot come-up with a vertical one in 2+ years, something is seriously broken in the company. No wonder competition is thriving.

Thanks to everyone who commented on this topic. This is certainly an idea that we’ll consider, but in the meantime, I wanted to mention that if you can’t see all the sheet tabs, you can right-click on the navigation arrows to bring up the “Activate” dialog, which gives a scrollable list of the sheets, so you can select the one you want and navigate to it. I know it’s not exactly what’s being suggested.

As with other ideas, we’ll look to see how many people vote on this, so vote for it if this is an area you want to see improved.

    Thanks,
    Steve (MS Excel)

    Hi all,

We have been working on this, and wanted to get your feedback on how you see this feature fitting into your workflow. We have a quick one question survey for you to give us your thoughts on the look and keyboard shortcuts we have at this time. Please see here for more: aka.ms/datePickerSurvey

    Thanks!

    Wow.

Thank you to all those participated in our survey. What an amazing number of responses, many of them with very deep content. We’re processing the over ten thousand responses(!), and already appreciate the time so many of you took to answer with passion and experience.

Please know this survey is used to help influence various topics – both on Python as well as other related topics that the comments started to bleed into. Given the passion, I want to be clear this remains an area of exploration for us, without any specific timeline.

We’ll provide updates as we progress on this feature request.

    Thanks!

    Hi everyone,
Stock data types are now available to all Windows Office 365 subscribers with an English editing language installed (our data is only available in English at this time). You can find some instructions on how to use the feature here: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/get-a-stock-quote-e5af3212-e024-4d4c-bea0-623cf07fbc54. The feature will also be appearing in Excel for Mac and Excel Online in early 2019 – as usual, Office Insiders will see the feature before the general population. See http://aka.ms/officeinsider for more info.

One pro tip to locate instruments on a different exchange is to include an ISO country code alongside the symbol, for instance MX MSFT will tell Excel to grab Microsoft from the Mexican stock exchange instead of Nasdaq. We’ll be publishing more thorough documentation in the near future.

We also acknowledge that this is only half of the requested feature in this suggestion – the current stock prices piece. The ability to…

IEX Trading offers free quotes for U.S. stocks, but their API returns JSON instead of XML. How about adding a new VBA library to MS Office, so every Excel user can create and parse JSON with a few lines of code and without external libraries?

Indeed! All I am arguing is that veryHidden, PROTECTED sheets should NOT be shown in this protection list

    Spreadsheet1.com commented  ·

That's why your sheets do not appear on the list. Only password protected sheets (Review tab) are listed, whether visible, hidden or veryHidden

    Spreadsheet1.com commented  ·

Jan Wx - are your veryHidden sheets password protected?
