    Well, this would be a good idea if the "close without saving" had ANOTHER, DIFFERENT name... for example, "DROP" instead of "CLOSE"...

    as for me, Excel does not auto-save files when I click CLOSE, but notifies me of unsaved changes... even as it saves them in the background, but I still have to click "close" again a second time
