We are happy to let you know that in addition to refreshing your data from supported sources, you can now import data from local files such as Excel workbooks, and Text and CSV files with Power Query in Excel for Mac. This new functionality is available to Beta channel users running version 16.50 (build 21050400) or later.

Please add Power Query to Mac. really necessary for all my work.
Thanks for supporting this suggestion with your votes. It’s unlikely that we’ll be able to bring PowerPivot to Excel for Mac, because it relies on features of the operating system that don’t exist on Mac OS. We’ll keep tracking votes, since we know that the scenarios made possible by PowerPivot are important, even if the solution will need to be something else.
