Another feature of making references in headers/footers would be the ability to reference a cell relative to one of the four corner cells that make up the particular page in addition to any other methods of referencing cells available in cells.
An example of what I'm talking about is the page headings in the telephone directory. This is where there is an alphabetically sorted list of people over a number of pages and one wants the header to be something like "Brown, C - Gates, W" where on that particular page the first entry is Charles (Charlie) Brown and the last entry is William (Bill) Gates. The first part of the header would reference the cell based on the top-left cell on the page. The second part would reference the cell based on the bottom-left cell on the page.Andrew Taylor supported this idea ·
