      Hi all,

I’m happy to announce that your input has had another direct impact on the product. In this case, a decision has been made to have Power Pivot be available in all Windows editions (“SKUs”) of Excel! This means the Business, Home, Standard, etc.. all of these will have Power Pivot. As your comments have indicated, Power Pivot has moved from targeting a specialized audience to generally useful capability for working with data in spreadsheets. As such, it makes sense to make this as broadly available as possible.

We have started rolling this change out with the April Current Channel updates (Builds 9330 and beyond). I’m also happy to announce that these SKU changes will be reflected on the upcoming 2019 version as well.

Thank you for pushing for this!

Hi, which Home and Student edition build will this be available in and when? I'm looking at an 1806 version and I can't see PowerPivot
      Thanks

Thanks to all that responded to the recent survey and to all that have taken the time to provide comments. We have read all of the feedback and we’re determining the best way to resolve the pain points that you have with the changes.

Much of the feedback falls into these categories:

Differences with VBA Macros – When we initially release the “Keep the Copy” functionality in May of last year, there were differences for copy operations in VBA Macros. In an August update last year we made a change such that the keep the clipboard functionality is disabled when VBA macros are running. If you are still experiencing differences for copy operations in macros compared to previous version of Excel we would like to know more about what you are seeing.

Using Keyboard shortcuts to insert cells – Prior to the Keep the Copy functionality, the first insert operation…

I'm sure there is some excellent reasoning behind this feature, however I have become accustomed to the old method and would be very grateful if we could have the option to revert back. Thank you

Thanks for the feedback! We’re seeing a number of different posts about lookup functions – we’ll be taking a close look at this area and thinking it through. We’ll prioritize the asks according to votes along with other requests on the site. So I encourage people to keep voting if it’s something they really want to see the priority raised on.

                Best,
