Hi all! We have recently extended the list of supported sources you can refresh your Power Query queries from in Excel for Mac. In addition to refreshing your data from Text, CSV, JSON and XML files, you can now refresh your data from the tables and ranges in the current workbook, as well as from SQL Server database. For more information about Power Query features that are currently supported in Excel for Mac, please take a look at the following support article:

Hi all,
Thank you for taking your time to suggest and vote for adding Get Parameter button to Power Query. We do think that this suggestion has merit but we don’t think that we’ll be able to devote time to it in the near future. We’ll continue tracking votes for it.
Thanks,
Guy Hunkin

Thanks for all your votes and comments about enabling support for UserForms in Excel for Mac.
With emphasis on enabling more and more capability using Office add-ins in Excel that will work across platforms, we don’t expect to add support for creating and modifying UserForms.
Please see this article for more information about what you can do in Excel with Office add-ins.
