    Hi all,

    We have been working on this, and wanted to get your feedback on how you see this feature fitting into your workflow. We have a quick one question survey for you to give us your thoughts on the look and keyboard shortcuts we have at this time. Please see here for more: aka.ms/datePickerSurvey

    Thanks!

    To MS. Please respond and tell us where you are at with this and when we are likely to see ti. Considering that we used to have a date picker control and for some unknown reason Microsoft decided to delete it from our applications. Most users would be happy if you simply gave it back to us as it used to be.

    To John Campbell, Please note that we don't just want this added to Office 365 but we want it restored in the previous versions of Excel. I am quite certain that both DTPicker and MonthView controls were available in the previous versions and during some update they were taken away from us.

    What ever happened to the Monthview control that we used to have in Excel? Microsoft already have it but have simply removed it so please put it back in Excel 2013 and Excel 2016

    The Monthview control used to be available so we could select a date from a calendar. It should never have been discontinued in the later versions of Excel.

    This is just one of the areas where users should be able to set their own defaults. Option to set as default should be right there with the selection; not through options. The user should be able to easily change the default for the time they need it because they could need to change it again part way through the development of the worksheet.

    The method that I would suggest is for a character to represent the last used row or last used column. I would suggest the # character like the following examples.
    A2:A# would be from A2 to last used row.
    A2:#200 would be the last used column.
    A2:## last used column and last used row.

    Thanks for all of the votes – the team has definitely taken notice of the activity around this issue. We moved to SDI as a result of customer requests, but it looks like we’ve got work to do to really nail the use cases people care about. From a read over the comments, I see a number of cases that we will want to investigate further as we think through MDI vs SDI. We’ll get someone from the team to take a deeper look, and we may reach out to some of you for more clarification as we go. Thanks again for all the voting and passion here!

    Advanced Filter copy to another worksheet works fine in VBA so it should not be too difficult to extend that so it also works in the Interactive mode. Following VBA code example works.

    Sub Macro2()
    'Alternative method to extract to another worksheet
    Dim rngToFilter As Range

    With Worksheets("Sheet1")
    'Edit 6 in the following line to first row of your data (Header row of data)
    'Edit "E" in following line to last column of your data
    Set rngToFilter = .Range(.Cells(6, "A"), .Cells(.Rows.Count, "E").End(xlUp))
    End With

    'In following code edit "Sheet2" to your sheet name
    rngToFilter.AdvancedFilter _
    Action:=xlFilterCopy, _
    CriteriaRange:=Range("A1:C2"), _
    CopyToRange:=Worksheets("Sheet2").Range("A1"), _
    Unique:=False

    Worksheets("Sheet2").Columns.AutoFit
    End Sub
