Thanks for logging this one, Marco, and for encouraging the community to vote.
I’m adding this to the list of Pivot table enhancements… more votes will boost the priority of getting it in the product, thanks!

By IBCS, I assume you are referring to “International Business Communication Standards”. Could you provide more detail on what you are specifically looking for? IBCS is pretty broad.

Hi Scott, thanks for your response.
As the IBCS is spreading and plenty of Reporting-Software-provider are adapting IBCS-Visuals, I personally see a big opportunity to level up EXCEL as a reporting tool. As a EXCEL-veteran I managed to create charts (especially, bar- & column charts using to axis, pin-charts and charts showing variances) according to IBCS-Standards. Unfortunately it took me a while to create this. Establishing the IBCS-standard across our company by using "standard-excel" seems quite challenging as creating such reports is very time-consuming and requires very skilled and committed Excel-employees. I found my self using the ZebraBI Add-In, where I reduced the time creating this specific charts to nearly one click (by preparing the source-data properly of course).
As you mentioned IBCS is broad, when it comes to creating standardized IBCS-charts I can only refer to ZebraBI - imop it is getting to the heart of EXCEL-IBCS-Reporting .
Following points I found very cumbersome while I created IBCS charts with "standard"-Excel:
- creating a horizontal and vertical pin-charts http://www.linearis.at/wp-content/uploads/IBCS-07-Variances.jpg - please add such chart to your portfolio
- scaling two or more bar- or column charts dynamically- according to the max-value of all charts.
- creating charts including variances* http://static1.squarespace.com/static/538cea80e4b00f1fad490c1b/t/56261230e4b08b3753683dc3/1445335600524/figure4.png
* standard-variance charts would be very convenient to use as variances are one of the most wanted and used charts in managment reports
- vertical waterfall chart
All in all I would say it is not a request of making it possible to create IBCS-charts but rather making it easier and more convenient creating them. Of course I would prefer stadardized-charts
I am looking forward to your response!
