    Figured it out, so on your Mac open the excel spreadsheet. I am using OneDrive so anything that happens to the settings of the spreadsheet in the Mac will automatically be synced to the iPad through the cloud. While the spreadsheet is open on your Mac, click the "Excel" tab at the very top left then click "Preferences". Choose "Autocomplete" and uncheck all boxes. Open the spreadsheet on your iPad to confirm the Autocomplete settings have been changed.

    Replied to your comment on the Microsoft site too, hopefully you get this because I was about to give up all hope on the iPad. Its a great tool when you can get around these bugs.
