Mike, agree on the complexity of the more advanced features. I do however note many users voting for simple features that are ignored and not supported as a unified approach across systems. Eg. Two Excel sheets side by side on an iPad, a standard IOS capability for 6 months+, in Outlook categories used on a desktop not visible on your Android / IOS device. Have to say find this varying platform experience frustrating.
Surely it’s obvious MICROSOFT want you on their Windows, hardware platforms and are supplying under- featured versions for those that aren’t. It would be great if they were a software company that provided a unified experience across all operating systems. Sadly this is not the case. Being as successful as they are, they are not pressured into doing so either. This is never said and you are just ignored.

"nach neustem Update" ist nicht sehr aussagekräftig.
Welches Update, welche Excel-Version, Welche Windows-Version?

Mistake #1 was switching to M$ Office online. My company did the same, and now everybody wants to kill themselves. Google Docs/Sheets/Drive is far superior.

We are now shipping a feature called Sheet View on Excel for the web that can help you sort and filter while collaborating with others. You can accomplish your tasks in a Sheet View without others impacting your workflow. Learn more here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Excel-Blog/Sheet-View-is-generally-available/ba-p/1032576
We’ve started the rollout to users on Excel for the web and will be available to all Excel for the web users within the coming weeks.
Collaboration, working with multiple colleagues, on one workbook is practically impossible when a filter is active. Hope you can correct this asap !
I think it's clear that we need to assume this feature won't happen and think of alternative strategies, the evidence is in the lack of communication from Microsoft in these uservoice threads. They say the feature was being planned back in September 2015 yet no progress has been made.
Fair enough Microsoft - develop new software & tools for the ever changing landscape BUT please don't forget about your core users while you do that. It's unreal that this has been open for over 2 years. From a once happy and content Microsoft user to a frustrated and unsatisfied user in not very much time at all.... that's me!
I agree - perhaps they are spread a little too thin in terms of developers? I'm finding similar with a bunch of other Microsoft tools right now too. At the very least, employ some people to keep on top of these forums & threads because not doing so is highly aggravating to die hard Microsoft users.
We are pleased to announce that the first set of Power Query features are now available in version 16.29 and greater. At this stage you can refresh from text, CSV, XLSX, JSON and XML files.
Refer to the following blog post for more details:
I encourage you to try the new functionality and share your feedback with us via Send a Smile/Frown at the top right corner in your Excel for Mac.
Please add Power Query on Mac (Office 365) soon.

Thanks very much for your votes. And to those who took the time to fill in the survey, thank you! This is a brief update to let y’all know that we’ve started work on this feature request.

I am going to stop using excel and break my companies security policy just because of this. It's so frustratingly annoying that I literally do not care if I get fired because of this. I have to copy paste a LOT of numbers (most of which are actually text values) to excel and having 4 extra steps just to get the correct value is absolutely ********. It's also commonly droping off preceeding 0's, so then I go spend more wasted time to rationalize those.

When each of the ideas are so very similar...can there not be thousands of people who feel the same way about this mailing label issue?

This is a very highly needed feature!
