If Excel does not open the CSV after double-clicking the file, perhaps because file associations are not set, drag and drop the file from Windows Explorer in an open Excel instance. That also ignores CR in fields.

I received email back from Sam saying he’s expecting this to be the Table Analysis functionality (like key influencers, highlight exceptions), and not the explicit Data Mining features (like clustering). Am going to update the title, and we’ll wait for more votes before considering this item.
    Thanks, Sam!

I'd like to be able to use the tools like Cluster analysis without having to install SQL server

Fix Interoperability between Excel and Powerpoint in Office 2016 16.x for Mac. I have posted problems with example workbooks that illustrate them in answers.microsoft.com. This is a showstopper for me - I fit that description in Charles' first paragraph. Search answers.microsoft.com for
Copy Chart from Excel 2016 16.x for Mac, paste to Powerpoint: VBA fails, UI works
Excel for Mac 16.10 VBA error in Chart.Export
Excel for Mac 16.9 (180116) Bugs: 1) Form fields in Graphs not saved to image. 2) VBA Chart exports fail with error 5.

CC 'numbers' do not measure quantity so should not be numbers.
A suggestion would be to automatically convert too-long numbers to text rather than throwing away least significant digits.

That looks like Flash Fill. Type the first couple of entries and Excel figures out what pattern to follow for the rest.
