Steve:
Like many others I have a bunch of tabs, could we at least have a larger "activate dialog" box without the necessity to scroll down to find a sheet. That alone would greatly speed up the process. However 2 or even more layers of tab would be the best ultimate solution.Russ Raine supported this idea ·

This is one idea that would make switching workbook sheets one click instead of the long scrolling sequence we have now. My spreadsheets have as much as 100 sheets, and although I don't use all of them all the time; I need about 15 -20 for immediate reference. Multiple lines of tabs would help as would the ability to change the font size and tab size. Please consider making it easier to find and select (1 click) sheets. I could see 3 or more rows of tabs as being very useful.

Updating the status of this item to Accepting Votes. Note that this can be accomplished using Power Query, but the result is a table rather than a PivotTable.

We’ve just merged two items that were both requests for the Median function in PivotTables. One had been for Windows, the other for Mac. When we get to this, we should actually make the addition on all platforms including Windows, Mac, Web, and others.

We are looking at a variety of improvements for slicers in conjunction with adding slicer functionality (and improving PivotTables) for Excel on the web. Search is one of the features we’re interested in adding. Please keep the votes coming so we can properly prioritize this work.

Thank you for your suggestion to add a zoom feature to charts! There are currently no plans to devote time to support this in the near future. However, we will continue tracking votes and comments, and will keep this suggestion under consideration for future development.
Thank you again, and please keep sharing your thoughts!

While I understand that the main emphasis of Excel is to provide for commercial (financial, sales etc.) data manipulation, the large scientific community also has needs. As mentioned below, X vs Time data on X-Y scatter plots is a mainstay. The ability to quickly zoom into a complex/detailed plot is a very useful tool. I envisage it as placing the cursor on the graph and zooming on that point; similar to the google maps function.

Thanks for the feature suggestion. We’ll definitely consider changing this default. Please continue to vote on this feature idea which will increase its chance of getting in the product.
Thanks,

This seems like a simple fix to add additional rows of tabs that could be expanded, contracted like the formula bar. Please MS, there are 250 people here who are asking, but who likely represent almost everyone who uses Excel. How much programming would it take? Excel is likely the most used analytical product in the world. Make it better for the millions of users, from noobies to experts who suffer from tab fatigue daily.
