    Hi all,

We have been working on this, and wanted to get your feedback on how you see this feature fitting into your workflow. We have a quick one question survey for you to give us your thoughts on the look and keyboard shortcuts we have at this time. Please see here for more: aka.ms/datePickerSurvey

    Thanks!
    Blake, Excel Product Team

    Hi all,

Thank you for taking your time to suggest and vote for adding Get Parameter button to Power Query. We do think that this suggestion has merit but we don’t think that we’ll be able to devote time to it in the near future. We’ll continue tracking votes for it.

    Thanks,
    Guy Hunkin

Thanks for the suggestion Nick. We’ve got some related work we’re looking at soon, and we’ll be sure to carefully consider if we can get a fix in for this then. As always, more votes helps – so keep voting for the things you care about most.

    Thanks,
    John [MS XL]

Thanks for supporting this suggestion with your votes. It’s unlikely that we’ll be able to bring PowerPivot to Excel for Mac, because it relies on features of the operating system that don’t exist on Mac OS. We’ll keep tracking votes, since we know that the scenarios made possible by PowerPivot are important, even if the solution will need to be something else.

We agree that this feature would be useful for many users. The difficulty is that adding this feature would break compatibility for existing Excel users, Data models with this feature would not run in Excel 2013, 2016, or 2019. At this time, we consider compatibility to be more important than this particular feature. At some point in the future we expect to find a way to deal with this compatibility issue, but we won’t be able to address this anytime soon.

Thanks for supporting this feature. We won’t be able to in the near future, but we understand that it would be a nice improvement. Even though it seems like a straightforward idea, it is quite complex since named ranges can be dynamic, meaning that the range is calculated when the workbook is calculated.

We’ll continue tracking votes for this suggestion.

Thank you for taking the time to share your suggestion to support new chart types to be used as pivot charts.

We think this suggestion has merit; however, we don’t expect to devote time to it in the near future. We’ll continue tracking votes and comments here, and will keep this suggestion under consideration for future development.

    Thank you again,
    Auston [MSFT]

I’m happy to let you know that we are in the planning stages to make Excel for Windows scroll without jumping to the edge of the cell so you’ll be able to scroll smoothly. We don’t yet have a target date, but wanted to tell you about our plans.

We appreciate all the votes and comments supporting this suggestion.

    Thanks – Steve K [Excel]
