Thanks for the suggestions folks! We will be adding [if_not_found] as the 6th argument to XLOOKUP. The thinking is as follows:

    • It’s a reasonably common use case
    • The ISNA XLOOKUP approach cannot distinguish a “not found” from a #N/A returned from a valid match.

Thanks very much for your votes. And to those who took the time to fill in the survey, thank you! This is a brief update to let y’all know that we’ve started work on this feature request along with the one on changing numbers to scientific notation.

Good news! We have released a few fixes to Insiders to address this issue. If you are on Insiders, please let us know if the fix has worked for you.

The fixes should be in build 11809.10000 and onwards.

Hi Ashvini Sharma, any updates on this front?

As a power user, you can find an alternative in VBA, but this is a common scenario in business.

This capability is not currently supported on any of our new chart types in O16. However, we are working on plans to support this functionality in the future.

    Thanks,

    Hi folks,

Thanks for your passion around this. We’ve been discussing this item off and on for some time now and we’d love to get your input.

The reason we’ve resisted this is because the R runtime & various packages (and updating their versions) aren’t straightforward for other users to install. This limits sharing such queries across a workgroup.

    What do you think?

For others reading this that’d like us to prioritize this work, please be sure to add your vote since we’re prioritizing our backlog based on these.

    thanks
