Thanks for the suggestion Jessica. We’ve got a few other suggestions on the site that are similar with scientific notation, etc. We’ll take a look at this area, and pay special attention to any cases that get a lot of votes. So please keep the votes coming to help us do a good job at prioritizing asks like this!

    Cheers,
    John [MS XL]

Power Query in the latest Excel also keeps multiline fields with embedded newline characters.
So does Workbooks.open in VBA. But not unfortunately the Legacy Data Import Wizard which is the QueryTables.add method in VBA.

So what will you do? Retain the entry as text? Display it as a number with 15 digit precision with a decimal and zeroes ? I would like this as an option, maybe a worksheet option, or a text import option for all fields ie not having to specify every one as text.

Same for me in Excel 2016 - opening another workbook from a userform triggers UserForm_QueryClose with CloseMode = 5 and then UserForm_Terminate.

Thanks to Mike_884 for pointing out http://www.codedawn.com/excel-add-ins.php
I just used it to find a non-zero value in a row; [^0]
