I found a (tricky) solution. Before opening Excel 365, delete the file MicrosoftRegistrationDB.reg located in GroupContainers/UBF8...Office. As long as you don't quit and restart Excel, the Excel file (5Mo in my case) is saved in few seconds instead of 80sec. It seems that when the button "Automatic saving" is grey as a result of the deletion of the file in the UBF folder, the saving is fast otherwise it is not. I hope it will help to resolve this problem.

A workaround is not to use variables declared as workbook, worksheet, range but only as object... There are no more compile error. Hope this will help

Hi, when you open the file with Office 2016 for Mac, this compiler error may occur when the VBA code was compiled on Excel 2011 (or on PC with an older version of Office) but not compiled on Office 2016. This error can appear again each time you save the file on the older version of Excel and reopen it on Excel 2016.

Thanks for the suggestion about the Data Form. We don’t have plans to implement this in the near future, so we’re marking it “Not at this time”.

We recommend using Tables to make data entry easy. To create a table, just press CMD+T. With a table, you can press TAB to move across the fields and then it will automatically go to the beginning of the next line if you’re at the last field. If you’re on the last record in the table, it will add a new record to the end of the list.

Please comment to let us know what other reasons you’re using the Data Form that make it easier/better than using a Table.

    Wow.

Thank you to all those participated in our survey. What an amazing number of responses, many of them with very deep content. We’re processing the over ten thousand responses(!), and already appreciate the time so many of you took to answer with passion and experience.

Please know this survey is used to help influence various topics – both on Python as well as other related topics that the comments started to bleed into. Given the passion, I want to be clear this remains an area of exploration for us, without any specific timeline.

We’ll provide updates as we progress on this feature request.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion and for the support of this feature. If you meant to vote for the Data Form, which is different than VBA UserForms, please change your vote to that suggestion instead. From reading the comments on this one, it seems that some clarification was needed.

I updated the title and description for this one and we’ll continue to monitor for comments and votes.
