Please, add conditional formatting on Excel (and Office) for iPad OS. Much needed and already included in Apple’s Numbers app. Thank you.

I can’t believe I am starting to use Apples Numbers more and more over Excel on my iPad, especially when the reason is that Numbers offers a more complete spreadsheet solution with the inclusion of conditional formatting. I am beginning to wonder what other alternative apps apple offer and whether my office subscription is even worth it.

I honestly prefer Excel over Apple’s Numbers. But it’s silly that Numbers, a free application with no subscription, has the ability to conditionally format while Excel, an application with a subscription, does not. It’s not like conditional formatting is some random feature. It’s almost essential in most Excel use cases. So silly that it’s a feature that is clearly recognized by the application (otherwise how would it be able to display the formatting?) but you can’t add new instances of it.

As all have requested herein, I am too am requesting the Excel “Conditional Formatting” be reinstated for all Office 365 apps, Excel iPad and mobile apps. I think iPad, iPad Air, iPad Pro, etc... ALL should have the capability to “Conditionally Format” their spreadsheets to facilitate their specific operations within their homes and businesses. As one of the commenters here aptly stated, iPad users should have all Excel (& I add - all Microsoft 365 Apps included in the subscriptions) Desktop functionality to carry out their duties, especially since the subscriptions we pay for implies full application functionality unless listed as a Premium Plan, which it does not. (Please see pasted notes with respect to iPhone and iPad with Microsoft 365 from Microsoft Office 365 Website (as denoted) below ****.)
It makes absolutely no sense why this feature was removed. In my internet search I located instructions for how it was done on the iPad prior to removal (https://appletoolbox.com/conditional-formatting-numbers-ipad/) but the functionality is no longer there to be used. I checked the App Store to see if I could download the “Apple Toolbox” which I hoped might include this functionality; but there is not anything remotely resembling “an Apple Toolbox” to download.
Thank you for your time and consideration to my post.

Office for iPad® and iPhone®(including Outlook for iOS on iPad® and iPhone®) require iOS 12.0 or later. Office for iPad Pro™ requires iOS 11.0 or later. Office apps are supported on the two most recent versions of iOS. When a new version of iOS is released, the Office Operating System requirement becomes the two most recent versions: the new version of iOS and the previous version. -

You got it wrong. The correct request is not "please add this to future versions" but "please stop deleting this from future versions". It is already there, but has been removed for reasons that simply make no sense.

The iPad Pro is vastly more powerful than the Windows machines I used in the 1990s, and there is no excuse for crippling Office in any way. It's not like it is running on a more limited computer! If I can do it on my desktop, I should be able to do it on my iPad, no exceptions, ever! In ANY component of Office 365!

thought the point of paying for 365 was to get these features? this disappoints me..

I would love for this to be available. It makes formatting on the go so much easier.

iPad Pro is more powerful than any computer I’ve ever owned, and it has a mouse/ trackpad. I would like to see standard excel functions on iPad Pro version, such as conditional formatting, formula evaluation, being able to input lists in to cells for drop down options. It’s frankly ridiculous that we don’t have full functionality.

I also need conditional formatting. For now I will have to use the PC. I am paying a monthly subscription to NOT use the old PC!

Surely this is a simple ask, without it, Excel on the IPad, is massively pointless!!

I need to have conditional formatting to use large data sets. It’s unconscionable that we don’t already have this. For those of us that are power users it is VERY frustrating.

Just swapped from a windows computer to an ipad pro for its wonderful functions, only to realise that its Office apps especially Excel are so limited. and to think I pay an annual subscription for it and I realise it’s for me to at most use the app but at a limitation. This is not what I subscribed for. Please review the Office apps again to be fair to all subscribers.

I have switched from a Macbook to an iPad and have serious trouble formatting both in Word and in Excel. For example, conditional formatting is unavailable.
Thanks
