vertical text - (edit cell -,for,at cell - rotate text)
The ability to rotate text in a cell to varying degrees (at least 90) which is available in pc excel via edit cells - format -,rotate text....should be included ASAP. This feature used primarily in the header cells of a column where the filtered cells would be of limited width (I.e. 1 digit...or an “X”) allowing greatly increased utilization of limited viewing real estate.
Ironically, Google Sheets has even included this feature at this point (formulas were once required)...despite the app being barren in terms of features compared to xls in general.
Please add this staple functionality.
Certainly with the iPad now almost a computer with mouse and keyboard functions you can add more basic stuff like ‘vertical text’.

I would like (and need) that too!

I'm wondering why this feature hasn't been added yet.
Change from horizontal text to vertical text on Excel for iOS
I 2nd this request on behalf of a multitude of users. It's mind-blowing that this was not included in the original release, and that after all this time, it still has not been implemented. What are you waiting for?

Vertical Tex option in Excel IOS is obbligatory. Needs immediate upgrade. Embarrasing for Microsoft that Excel for iPad is still elementary
Been waiting for this in Excel Online for (literally) years, that is why we use Google Sheets as it has had a vertical text feature for nearly 18 months.
Add standard excel feature ( edit cell - format - rotate text ) to any degree, or at a minimum 90 degrees or multiples of 45 degrees. This feature is becoming ubiquitous, even finding inclusion in functionally inferior products (I.e. google sheets)..due to its extreme usefulness in formatting (column headers to enable thin columns where filtered cells contain 1/few characters). This allows for maximization of coveted screen real-estate...which is of even greater premium in a mobile application where users have but one, smaller, screen with which to analyze data.
