Password protection of spreadsheet
I just posted this question to Microsoft forums and found out that this feature is still not functional in Excel for iOS:
I'm using Excel on an iPad Pro and would just tried to find a way to password protect a spreadsheet I'm saving to OneDrive. Searching the general web and these forums didn't readily surface an answer. I've seen old responses indicating that it wasn't possible to password protect a single sheet in 2014; however, I'd be surprised if it's not even possible to password protect an entire spreadsheet in the latest version of Excel for iOS.
So this has been going since 2014?
We’re now over half way through 2020 and the Excel protection issue still doesn’t seem to be fixed.
Surely this is a high severity issue that could quite easily be resolved.
Do these comments go to Microsoft?
How do I open an excel file on my I pad pro that has a check by it. It gives me a message that something is wrong.
Is there any way of password protecting the file when you close it. I think this is a very important missing feature.

I did it. Password protected the sheet on your MAC or PC, then email it to your iPad. It works perfectly.
Just got an iPad Pro and am very disappointed in that I cannot protect my worksheets and that this issue has been raised as far back as 2014. Hopefully they address this soon. Especially for businesses where this feature is necessary!!!
I can’t believe this isn’t a function. I can password protect nearly every app of mine but the one app that would have sensitive data I can’t even protect a worksheet let alone the app? This inability to lock down data makes the mobile app I useable for me - shame
Allow password protection fo ios excel
2019 and this problem still exists ! COME ON PEOPLE this requires a solution
PLEASE FIX THIS
Come on man! Password protection.
May 2019 and the password protection feature is still not available for Excel mobile!
Use Numbers or a 3rd party Office until this issue is resolved. Not being able to protect sensitive info in 2018 is unacceptable, given all the hacking / data breaches going around.

Incredible that this does not exist. Incredible that we are shoved to User Forums where venting is the only recourse.
