iPad Pro 9.7 Smart Keyboard problem
Has anyone else had a problem with the iPad Pro 9.7, Excel and the Smart Keyboard? Every time you type into a cell, the software keyboard pops up momentarily before promptly disappearing - like Excel makes the cell editable, displays the iPad keyboard, then realises the Smart Keyboard is attached, and then removes the iPad keyboard.
- Type something into any cell
- Press return that then moves the focus onto the cell below
- Start typing something, and the software keyboard will pop up, before disappearing again
This bug can be reproduced on the iPads at the Apple Store.
Is there a solution/known bug?
I am having iPad Pro 2020 but the keyboard is not working on the app. The app is the latest version tried to uninstall and install it again though it’s not working on the iPad Pro

Same problem Office 365 excel iPad Pro and Smart Keyboard don’t communicate. (But Word is fine, and I am using my Smart Keyboard to type out this comment with no problem).
I reported this to the Microsoft Community:

I've been hit with the same thing my new iPad Pro, Be grateful for your help.
I have experienced exactly the same problem. Is there going to be a fix for this soon?
This is the same with my iPad Air 2 with a bluetooth keyboard. It seems to be general Excel for iOS problem.
