  1. Introduce "Offline Mode" to Reduce Latency and Improve Performance

    Please create an "Offline Mode" feature for Office 365 to reduce overhead and improve performance when network connections are not required for one's basic Office app use.

    While using Excel (Office 365 for Mac) there is too much latency in the most simple tasks. Additionally, the application(s) attempt to make multiple network connections to various sites for subscription, sharepoint, and other apps connectivity. All of these actions reduce performance and create an overhead which impacts the users' experience (one only needs to google the feedback to date on the latest Office for Mac issues).     I’m marking this one as already supported, and closing the suggestion, because there has been significant work done since this suggestion was opened to improve the experience and performance related to offline and low bandwidth situations. There is no switch that puts Excel or Office into an offline mode, but you can work offline, such as in airplane mode. If you encounter specific issues, we recommend sending feedback via the Send-a-frown button within Excel.
