  1. Fix ability to open XML files

Up until Dec 2018 I was able to open an XML file directly in Mac Excel. Last week in Dec and still now I get this message: The file you are trying to open is not a valid Excel XML Spreadsheet.
I am currently at Mac Excel version 16.20 (181208)

  2. Fix copy & paste bug when Handoff (Universal Clipboard) is enabled

When Handoff is enabled (which also enables Universal Clipboard) and you are signed in to iCloud on your Mac and a nearby iPhone or iPad, Excel will freeze when you try to copy any cell. The spinning beachball will appear for 3-4 seconds and you can't do anything while this is happening. The bug also affects Word. This happens even on a Clean Installed system so it is not a 3rd party conflict.

I've posted more details and a video of this happening on the Microsoft Community Forums:
    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/copy-cmdc-causes-spinning-beach-ball-delay-for-3-4/36e2e400-59c7-471b-b7d6-b5d5082a545a

I've tried to report this bug but it seems impossible to…

  4. Please fix this: Margins do not fit page size

Office 365 for Mac/Excel. I just want to create an invoice on 1 page, save it as a PDF and or at least print it to one page. For a time the workaround was working but now I can't do anything. May need to copy the data into Google sheets and use that. Why am I even paying for Office 365 if it can't perform a basic task like this.

  5. Mail merge bug in Excel/Word 365 for Mac: Word can't see Excel cells with formula results over 250 characters

When I use an Excel sheet/project as source of data for mail merge in Word, Word can't see the result values of formula cells, if the result is over 250 characters (text). The result in Word, doesn't show anything for that field and even blocks data for all of the next records (rows in excel). The only solution is saving the excel sheet as a .csv file and use that as the data source in Words mail merge. Cells in excel that don't have a formula and just text of more than 250 characters, works fine. So the bug is…

  7. XLSM files saved with Excel 365 for Mac cannot be opened with Excel 2016 (non-365)

XLSM file saved with Excel 365 for Mac cannot be opened with Excel 2016. If saved with Excel 365 for Win instead, file can be opened.

  8. Line break in Excel for Mac

I have tried either "Control + Option + Return" or "Commant + Option + Return" but didn't work. Please consider this small thing.

  9. Bulk delete of recents in v16

It is ridiculous that bulk 'recents' cannot be removed from Excel for Mac v16. In a very productive environment, this is too time-consuming to remove them one by one.

  10. The min function needs to work in tables that update. Currently they drop one row (result) and repeat the largest result in the new result.

I need a way to sort the data from the data entry column in a table on a nother column in ascending order. Min does not work. The new row repeats the highest results and the column drops a row. For example, imin($A$1:$A$22, $A$1:A1) in a table on a Mac does not work after adding a few numbers in A, the data entry column

  11. Excel crashes and cells cannot be edited with High Sierra

Dear Excel team, this has been posted already and has 74 comments on it, but you closed it. The reason you are not seeing crash reports is because we have to kill the app and this doesn't seem to generate a crash report.

Issue is as described by 4 pages of comments, please reopen. If not then I have created this as a new issue.

If you attempt to double click in the cell or click in the function bar, then Excel freezes, by keeping the cursor in the cell and removing keyboard entry. Menu's stop working as well, the…

  12. Need to fix how Excel for Mac 16.23 is causing multiple files to open upon startup.

Need to fix how Excel for Mac 16.23 does not shut down properly and that causes it to open multiple files upon startup. This would seem like it is an autorecovery issue but it is not because it still occurs even after all autorecovery files have been sent to trash. A simple internet search will confirm that this is a long-standing problem many have suffered and there is no methodology offered to fix it. Even reinstalling Excel does not correct the issue.

  13. Please get rid of this error message: Blame Module Name: MicrosoftFontLibrary

I find the Blame Module Name: MicrosoftFontLibrary in the error report each time I try to open files with long name lists in Japanese. This is problematic because I cannot enter the grades for my students using Excel on my Mac. I have to go to a Windows machine to open the same file.

  14. 365 does not appear to save AutoRecover or AutoSave files anywhere on my Mac or in the cloud..

I use a MacBook Pro and Have Office 365. Excel and Powerpoint crash fairly often and tech support found that AutoRecover and AutoSavedo not save anything anywhere. It seems to be because I don't use OneCloud for my cloud storage. I use iCloud for My Documents folder. The fact that your apps are so unstable and you don't do the right thing by helping users save their data, seems to be a short-sighted tactic to sell OneDrive. In reality you are forcing me to discontinue Office 365 and switch to Apple or Google's office apps. Very poor product management of…

  15. 図形から作成の矢印の太さ設定がプリントアウトに反映されないです。

    はじめまして。
    Office 2016 Mac Excel(Ver.16.16.10)

  17. In Excel for

In Excel Windows I can choose between dot (.) or comma (,) as decimal separator in Options/ Advanced/ Editing options. Since comma is used in most European countries and dot in the U.S. and many other coutries this causes a lot of problems and sometimes accidents when Excel files from other countries are used. Please introduce the same option in Excel/ Mac/ Preferences – or even better - as a choice for each file. Now I have to replace all dots with commas or vice versa with the risk of involuntarily changing dots that should be dots. And I know…

  18. solver multiple range

Using Solver, you cannot select multiple ranges in the "By changing variable cells box. If you select a range, type "," and select another range, the first range is overwritten rather than appended as in the Windows version of Excel.

  20. Fix encoding problem with Japanese

I work at a school that uses Excel for grades and must work with files that are made on Excel with a Windows machine. Each time I try to open a file with long lists of names in Japanese and corresponding scores from the student's test, the Excel on my Mac crashes.

I believe the problem has to do with how Excel 16 is encoding the Japanese characters from the Windows machine. I thought it might be a problem of fonts on my Mac but I have checked and all the fonts are in working order, with no problems in…
