Adjust font size of formula bar
I have been struggling with ultra-tiny characters in the formular bar when editing complex formulas. One should be able to increase the font size within the formular bar in order to better grasp complex formulas and color coding (colored brackets).
I have the same problem using Office 2019 Excel on MacBook Pro running Mojave OS 10.14.6
When I'm at home plugged into a huge screen it isn't an issue, but when travelling it is painful.
The suggestions for a PC work fine - but when the file is sent to an Apple the formula Bar Font goes from my adjusted size 16 font back to the default size 11. You can sort of fix the problem using System Pref-->Displays -->Scaled & select the larger font options to the left, But, this increases every font size and comes at the expense of fitting less of the application window on the screen. A simple Up and Down arrow at the end of the formula bar to adjust Just the formula bar font would be really useful. Please.
DRSteele's comment and referenced video apply to the Windows version of Excel. This question is regarding Excel for Mac and the suggested solution does not work on Mac.
Yes, yes and again please, yes!
Font size can indeed be increased, but the increase comes at the costs of having every new spreadsheet be created with the same font size. Got to File|Options|General|When creating...|Font size. But this is hardly ideal. See this video for insight. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVg9CkS6Lc8
Yes, please! When I'm trying to figure out why a complicated formula isn't working, it would be helpful to be able to make the font in the formula bar bigger.
