Comment boxes moving far away from source cell
Hello
I am working on a complex worksheet which I need to insert comments boxes for certain cells. When I create the cell the comment box is adjacent to the source cell. However as I add further data to the worksheet, the comment boxes move far away from the source cell. A Microsoft support staff member confirmed that this is a current limitation of Excel. He explained that the comment box is finding space where it will not be blocking information in surrounding cells. That said, there is space closer to cells where it would not be blocking text, but the comment box moves further away than the closest available empty space. And in some cases the comment box moves away to a place where it is blocking other cell content. Please try to fix this limitation as the insert comment box feature is particularly useful for worksheets that are complex - but at the moment the complexity seems to be causing this issue. So at the moment the worksheet is a mess of comments everywhere with long connecting lines and its very difficult to see which comment box responds to each source cell. I spent a long time manually moving them closer to their source cell but as soon as I continue adding data to the worksheet they started moving again.
