Allow me to turn off the feature that leaves copied cell highlighted after pasting.
Allow me to turn off the feature that leaves copied cells highlighted after pasting. I'm sure it's helpful to some people, but for a lot of us it's annoying. Please provide a way to turn it off.

I think this is a recent "enhancement"!!!! Why does excel assume that you want to continue having a cell highlighted AFTER you've completed the operation. Really dumb update and good to see someone else finds this as useless and irritating as I do. CHANGE IT BACK or let the USER CHOOSE.

Nice thought; this is a real pain.
Agreed. Let the user pick which way they want the program to behave. Fixing it for some broke it for others.
Nice thanks for figuring this tweak out to a previously annoying issue - happy
Yeah, no. Pressing escape does work, but I copy and paste a lot when cleaning data. Why add extra keystrokes to the process? The rule of good development should be, don't break stuff. The new feature could have been added and, with user choice, set to work the previous way. I get there are use cases on both sides of this. But, there are use cases on both sides of this so let the user pick.
Agreed. Just press escape
I don't want to have to press escape every time. Thank you.
