Allow users to set the default format to use for cut and paste
Currently if I paste data into Excel from the internet or another workbook, the default is to use the source format. If I set the preferences to display format options, I can then select an option to display the data in the destination format. I have to do this every time, but I ALWAYS want to display the data in the destination format - so I need to be able to reset the default to use destination format, but I cannot change this. You need to make the default format user-defined.

Does anybody at Microsoft actually bother to read these suggestions? It's been three years already and still I have to do the same idiotic manual format change every damned time I paste anything from one spreadsheet to another. the only communication I have from Microsoft is now to tell me that they are not supporting my product any more (which I bought just three years ago with my Mac) and they are trying to make me PAY for their regular updates by paying a subscription service to use their software. If any company deserved to go to the wall, it is Microsoft. ZERO CUSTOMER FOCUS.
This would be a life changer for people who often need to move data around between spreadsheets and workbooks. Please make this happen.

It would definitely save time. I have to copy-paste between worksheets for a project I'm working on, and I want to always paste as plain text while I'm working on this project (several hours/days at a time). Then I want to be able to change it back to something else.
Yes, ability to select default paste format (i.e. plain text) would save me so much time.
