How can we improve Excel for Mac?

Add PowerPivot to Mac excel

is it possible to open an existing Windows Power Pivot Excel on Mac?

I have already created a Power Pivot Excel report on Excel 2013.
Now i want to use that report on mac.Is there any way to do so?

Thanks for supporting this suggestion with your votes. It’s unlikely that we’ll be able to bring PowerPivot to Excel for Mac, because it relies on features of the operating system that don’t exist on Mac OS. We’ll keep tracking votes, since we know that the scenarios made possible by PowerPivot are important, even if the solution will need to be something else.

    Power Pivot is so intertwined with .Net and probably some other stuff only running on the pity full excuse of an operating system called Windows (actually that's where you want to throw it out off), that MS can't just port this feature easily to MacOS. It is still the legacy of Mr. Steve Ballmer who wanted Windows, Windows, Windows and only bloody f-ing Windows.....on all devices from computers to phones and even on your fridge.

    Fortunately, there is a (sort of) new Microsoft that isn't Windows only anymore, that also focusses on cloud based solutions (sort of). There are rumors that MS is actually thinking about a consumer version of a virtual windows desktop in the cloud, which be great to just run those Windows only stuff.

    For now the best solution is to run Windows via Parrallels on your Mac, or use bootcamp. There are also other solutions: just have a Windows box running (and tucked away in your basement) and remotely access that box (e.q. with Teamviewer or windows RDP on W10 pro). This last solution will probably be the only way to go if you have a M1 mac. Running Parrallels and Windows ARM will bring a lot of other issues to play. Actually Windows ARM is only available as a developer edition, but not on sale for home or office use.

    What is really bad is that the Mac version of MS Office lacks features, but isn't cheaper than the Windows version. Getting an MS 365 subscription and having a Windows Box somewhere in your Lan is probably the best solution for now. Just needs to be a rather basic setup, but with enough RAM. If you you want to access it from outside your home it may be a bit more of hassle, but it is still possible. Check out how to use WOL and how to cope with your internet provider most likely changing IP addresses regularly.

    It is very disappointing to find that this feature will not work with my Mac. Please make it available. I feel I don't have the full product.

    Si deben buscar solución a nuestros requerimientos que vienen de años, ya sea reducir costos o implementar alternativas. Actualmente todos trabajan con este programa para análisis de datos que va en aumento, Power BI es otro programa que no pueden dejar de lado. Esperemos ver cambios pronto! Gracias

    Power pivot is crucial for quick data analysis and existing reports! Please look into porting this feature over to Excel for Mac/Office 365 for Mac. Thank you!

    Just in case anyone reads this or actually cares..... Please make Power Pivot and Power BI compatible with Mac.

    We put a man on the moon in 1969 but here in 2021 we still don’t have Power Pivot for Mac.

    Please add power pivot to Mac I have office 2019. I use office 2019 but disappointed due to power pivot not available in Mac.

    Please add Power Pivot for MAC. Without that feature pivot tables can only do so much when working with multiple workbooks filled with different data sources. Buying PowerBI, learning it and then hoping it does what I need isn't a solution when I've already heavily invested in Excel. Thanks.

    We understand Microsoft would prefer to sell PowerBI, but IMHO it would get more traction for Office for Mac if it included Power Pivot and Power Query to Excel for Mac.
    It may be counterintuitive, but I believe this is the case. Thanks
