Bring back the "option-click" shortcut to insert column(s), row(s), or cell(s).
Please reinstate the option+click shortcut or at least a way to customize for it. It makes my work much easier and is the only reason I've yet to upgrade. Thanks a lot!

Thanks for the suggestions. We will monitor the votes on this to prioritize along with the other suggestions here.

this is absolutely my most used shortcut and i have put off updating my Excel version to avoid having to work around it. i now need to update my OS to Catalina, which is not compatible with 32-bit Excel (2011) and im dreading losing this shortcut. please give it back!!

Yep. I use excel daily for building various models. I used Option + Click in my workflow no less than 10 times per day. Though its only 1 extra click to click "insert" after right clicking, its still very clunky.
Most importantly– How did you guys vote on disabling features? Seems wild to all-together disable a feature without making it a preference option.

Definitely my number one request -- option-click was literally my favorite and likely most-used shortcut of all. Please reinstate it. Shocked someone thought it was a good one to axe. Really? Use your product more, people. That one shortcut actually made up for some of the other Windows shortcuts that weren't ever ported to Mac. Others on the forurm here saying they may revert to an earlier version because of this one omission actually have a point. Pulling the plug and downgrading may actually make sense, thought that seems like a pain. I was baffled to find this one missing from the upgrade. Eesh. Anyhow, please reinstate.

Recently upgraded from an old version. This one is killing me! It was so useful and I've got so much muscle memory built up! Can't understand why it would have been removed. Spent 1.5 hours this morning trying to figure out how to set it up as a shortcut.

Working on a project and this shortcut going away is REALLY slowing me down. Partially because, well, it's a shortcut and is meant to save time, and partially because I'm so used to using the shortcut that I option-click, take a second to ponder why it's not working, have a sickening realization that the feature is gone, and THEN have to do it the more time-consuming way.

Please please reinstate this. This is about the third downgrade I have found in Excel 2016 in less than one day of use. Why take away features? It makes no sense at all?

C'mon! Seriously - MS you should be flogged for calling your downgrade an upgrade. Really? Someone thought it would be better to have NO option-click to insert a row? You think it's better and worth the upgrade price to require more work to achieve the same thing? Classic!

Absoultely ridiculous to remove this feature. How stupid could you be??

Really a sad development. I just upgraded from 2011. I believe I've made a mistake. Couldn't imagine a reason for killing this feature. Oh... maybe it's a sadistic plot to force people to Open Office? Isn't the imagination wonderful?

Please. Please. Please. I hate begging, but hate the feeling of phantom clicking and discovering this decades long muscle-memory is now made useless – worse if it was sacrificed on the altar of "feature-parity". I'll use 2016, but will continue to hate it and actively seek for an alternative for my money until this is brought back.
