How can we improve Excel for Mac?

Enable VBA Support for creating and editing UserForms (not the Data Form)

In previous versions of Mac Excel you could create a Form/Dialog using VBA (called a VBA UserForm). In Mac Excel 2016, you can no longer do this. Please bring that functionality back. Note that this is different than the "Form" option on the Data menu. There's a separate suggestion on UserVoice for that.

(March-2018: MS updated the Title and Description to avoid confusion with the Data Form request)

Thanks for the suggestion and for the support of this feature. If you meant to vote for the Data Form, which is different than VBA UserForms, please change your vote to that suggestion instead. From reading the comments on this one, it seems that some clarification was needed.

I updated the title and description for this one and we’ll continue to monitor for comments and votes.

Here’s the link to the Data Form suggestion – https://excel.uservoice.com/forums/304933-excel-for-mac/suggestions/17930662-restore-data-form-functionality

Userform is a very important features. Please add it and make it also modal/modeless available (I know, this could be not possible on Mac :(( )

I have just noticed that my post back in May (?) had a typo in it which makes the message a little obscure. I suspect the spell checker did the dirty on me with a surreptitious change...

The second para has the phrase "dumping down" in it. This of course should have read "dumbing down" that is to make something simple but useless.

I believe LibreOffice has a macro language if anyone is interested in a better product. I haven't checked it out yet.

I agree with everyone else's comments on this! I'm lucky that I didn't upgrade my MacBook Pro from Office 2011 or I wouldn't be able to work.

Hello I recently purchased Office 365 for mac. Now it appears that the function users form no longer possible. As a result, the new purchase has no added value. What is the reason to delete this feature? A big miss! How can I get my money back?

This version of Excel is a complete joke. The ability to create useful macros and userforms is non-existent. Is Microsoft going to give us our money back? This product is not much better than the original spreadsheet - VisiCalc (saw it demo'd in 1978/9).

What really annoys me is the amount time and resources spent on "dumping down" the product so that the emoji fans can have their fix. This is no longer a professional product worth using in the office (or anywhere else).

I had a good look at Excel for Mac - Looks like "Baby's First Spreadsheet." What a POS!

If you dig deeper you find a LOT of things missing in Excel 2016 for Mac compared with Excel on Windows. My spreadsheets will not even display properly on my Mac!! Timeline is missing, layout is junk, VBA code crash.
Thankfully I got to test Office 2016 on a Mac, otherwise I would have bought that crippled junk..

C'est inadmissible de perdre des fonctionnalités de base dans EXCEL 2016 pour Mac.
    Donc vite VBA Userform.

Please do bring back VBA. Without it, how can I add numbers in a range, only if they're in bold? Has Excel added SUMIFBOLD?
