We are pleased to announce that the first set of Power Query features are now available in version 16.29 and greater. At this stage you can refresh from text, CSV, XLSX, JSON and XML files.

In Excel 2016 for Mac there is no way to (easily) insert personalised labels to an XY scatter plot (like in the 2013 version for Windows, for instance...). In the Windows version (which I know best) there was the possibility to choose values for the labels that were not part of the XY plot itself but that option does not exist for the (2016) Mac version I can modify a few labels manually but with hundreds of point it is very complicated...

Good news. We are working on this. In the meantime, we’ve published a macro that makes it easy to set personalized data labels for charts in Excel for Mac. Please see this article for instructions on adding it to your personal macro workbook so that you can control the labels for your charts.
