  1. Restore data form functionality (different from VBA UserForms)

    I miss the data form feature available in previous versions of Excel and would like to see it restored in Excel for Mac. Note that the Data Form feature is not the same as VBA UserForms. There's a separate suggestion if you want to vote for VBA UserForms.

    Thanks for the suggestion about the Data Form. We don’t have plans to implement this in the near future, so we’re marking it “Not at this time”.

    We recommend using Tables to make data entry easy. To create a table, just press CMD+T. With a table, you can press TAB to move across the fields and then it will automatically go to the beginning of the next line if you’re at the last field. If you’re on the last record in the table, it will add a new record to the end of the list.

    Please comment to let us know what other reasons you’re using the Data Form that make it easier/better than using a Table.

  2. Please add a function to insert .pdf documents into excel speadsheets

    I'd like to be able to add embed a .pdf document in a spreadsheet, and view it as either an icon or a link to the embedded document.

  3. ALT key ribbon access

    The ability to utilize the ALT keys to access any button or command on the ribbon greatly improves productivity on the PC versions of excel. Implementing this feature on the Mac version of excel would be greatly appreciated.

  4. Customize Touch Bar

    Please add the option to "Customize Touch Bar" for MacBook Pro's. It's usually found under "View" in just about any other application, but unfortunately not within Microsoft Office products.
    While Excel does have a set of standardized Touch Bar buttons, you can't change them to what you might use most often, rendering it fairly useless.
    Apple has had a Touch Bar feature since 2016 so it's not exactly a new feature. I understand that Apple is a competitor, but please put the "Customize Touch Bar" feature into your products!

  7. Have Excel - and other Office programs - follow current OS X standards for menus and title bars

    In your info page for Office, you say:

    "Unmistakably Office, designed for Mac … combining the familiarity of Office and the unique Mac features you love."

    But Office 2016 seems just like Office 2011 by not updating some menu and title bar features to reflect current OS X standards. It took me a while to get used to these, but now that I have it's frustrating to expect them and find them missing. Two big ones:


    • Save/Duplicate/Save As… Shift-Cmd-S is now supposed to be "Duplicate" by default in OS X, not Save As. Instead, the Option key is used to…

    Thanks for the suggestion, comments and votes for following OS X standards for menus and title bars. Some aspects mentioned here have been addressed, such as switching windows within Excel by pressing CMD+` (key that has ~ on it). We will continue to monitor votes and comments to prioritize accordingly with other suggestions here.

  10. touch bar - highlighting

    In the touch bar for Mac make that the function highlight "remember" the last color, like in the ribbon. Specially because the usual bright yellow does not appear in the touch bar menu of colors! Same for font color in touch bar.
    This would make a lot easier and helpful to use the touch bar to format cells

  12. RemoveDuplicates in VBA not working properly

    When dealing with multiple columns, i.e.

    CODE: range.removeduplicates columns:=array(1,2)

    A prompt showed up and ask user whether or not delete duplicate values

    It causes problem because without confirming deletion, the code won't run correctly. and what make the whole thing worse is that the code finishes running before I had a chance to confirm the deletion.

  13. Fix Numeric Keypad on Excel 2016 for Mac

    I love the NumPad.

    Who doesn’t? It’s the fastest way to enter numbers. It’s even been used to support specialised input methods.

    But I’m not loving the numerical keypad on Excel 2016.

    I currently use a Chinese Input software called Q9, which uses the 9 number keys on the NumPad as a method to input Chinese. On Excel 2016 for Mac, every time I hit a number key on the NumPad, Excel interprets it as me entering a number, even though I am just trying to use the NumPad to interact with my input software.

  14. Return features from Office 2010

    When copy and pasting, in Office 2010 you get a veriety of options when you right click, but in Excel 2016, it does not, you have to click on Paste Special and then choose from only 2 options! - Thos feature in excel 2010 is brilliant and gives so many useful options for paste special.
    In excel 2010, you can create your own personalised menu with shortcuts to the icons that you use most often... This I can not find how to do in 2016. It makes working in Excel so much easier and quicker.

  15. keep the copy

    Disable "Keep the Copy": Provide users a way to disable the new "keep the copy" functionality that was recently included. Having to hit the 'ESC' key is an extraneous step and very frustrating.

  18. Add same fuction for Excel for mac as the Windows version

    People have been requested this since 2015 and now years is 2017 and the version in mac are different from version in windows. We miss Power BI and we miss a lot of function that are not in the Excel for mac. Most of us BIA are a mac user and we can't go over to windows computer just for using Excel.

    We want a declaration from MS team and what's your plan about bringing on Power BI and other function to Excel Mac or not? Because we can't pay for Excel and it's different feature depends what we have…

  20. Chapter Creation

    Chapter Creation

    Select a group of spreadsheets and form with them a kind of chapter, with the same color as the guide. So when you click on a chapter all spreadsheets are available for viewing (as is current Excel) and those that don't belong are collapsed (hidden) within your chapter. In the attached file only the yellow tabs would appear and below them the chapter names. When you clicked on the Green chapter the green tabs would be displayed and the others hidden. It's a way of working with multiple linked documents within Excel with a clearer view of spreadsheets…
