    Thanks for posting about this issue. It would be very helpful if you would provide more information and screen shots to show how the words appear in Word and PowerPoint so that we can see the difference in Excel.

    Also, if you could provide a small example of the keystrokes that are used to enter one of the words on a US English keyboard (set to Myanmar or Myanmar QWERTY), it will be very helpful.

  5. Check/Uncheck Filter Items Shortcut

    There is no shortcut to check/uncheck filter items in the dropdown for Mac.

    Space bar or return do not work.

  6. Match Destination Format

    In Preferences, allow for Match Destination Formatting as a default. Currently you can only do this by manually going to the Home>Paste area.

  7. Resize columns in multiple sheets at the same time in the same workbook

    In Office 2016 Excel on Windows, when I select multiple sheets, then resize a column in one sheet, that change is applied to all of the other sheets in the workbook. This does not seem to work on Excel 2016 for Mac.

  9. Change Default Currencies in Dropdown Menu Excel

    It would be extremely helpful to be able to change the default currencies I see listed in the dropdown menu for currencies.

    I'm in the EURO zone. Microsoft has decided I see GBPound/Euro/RMB/CHF which makes no sense to me! I never EVER use the Swiss Franc or Chinese RMB, while the USD is not in there... ????

    It should be such an easy software adjustment to select your own currencies (and order) of which currencies show in the dropdown menu. Why have currencies in shortcuts that do nothing to help the user?

  10. Merge Down option - just like Merge Across, but Down. Quick Add.

    There exists a "Merge Across" option. A "Merge Down" option should also exist. So you can highlight multiple rows in multiple columns, and you can merge down, so the rows in each column merge, keeping the columns separate. Same principle as Merge Across, just Merge DOWN. Quick add.

  11. Number of Decimal Points

    The default way Excel displays numbers after the decimal point needs an update. Right now, here are the results of Excel default formatting settings. (the values in brackets are in different cells)

    A1 = [1.234]
    A2 = [1.234]
    A3 = [A1*A2] displays [1.522756]
    2X increase in values displayed post decimal!
    4 sig figs become 7 sig figs

    A1 = [2]
    A2 = [Log(A1)] displays 0.30103
    5X increase in values displayed post decimal!
    1 sig figs become 7 sig figs

    Excel is clearly just displaying all the digits it calculates. This is not the proper way to account for significant figures,…

  14. Some commands do not work in Quick Access Toolbar

    I need to have certain commands available on the QAT. I use Paste Values a lot but although I can place it in the QAT, it does not work from that location. Please look into this.

    Actually the QAT needs a complete rethink in my opinion. It is given so little prominence, especially when compared to the enormous amount of real estate occupied by the ribbons and their huge content of commands, most of which are not required on a regular or even irregular basis.

  17. Conditional Formatting (Blink/Flash) when value is TRUE

    Hi.. Wouldn't be it great to when we apply any condition formatting to any cell or a row/column instead of having a still color we can make it flashing/blink color. This can easily allow the user to identify the records.
    Criteria for flashing/blinking
    1. Number of Blinks/Flash
    2. Recurrence Blink/Flash
    3. Customize blink or not to blink upon opening the workbook

    Regards, Faraz Shaikh

  18. Fix Conditional Formatting

    When rows are inserted into a worksheet with conditional formatting, the cell (or range) references in the conditional formatting change. Fix the system so that the insertion of a row or column into an area covered by conditional formatting adopts the format (this part may already be the case) AND the formatting cell range reference in the Conditional Formatting dialog box does not get fragmented addresses; the range stays the same.

  19. Conditional formatting - Apply to named ranges

    Currently if you apply conditional formatting to a named range (i.e. a range named via the Name Manager or a table style named-range), the value in the "Applies to" column of the Conditional Formatting Rules Manager will immediately revert the named range to its absolute cell reference.

    eg. "Applies to: =Table1[Column3]" becomes "Applies to: =$C$2:$C$7".

    Apart from being more difficult to read, it creates other complexities. For example, if I insert a new column into this range, it creates a mess in the rules manager, creating a new rule for each cell pasted.

  20. Excel - Format a comment in every way, not just text. Essential.

    Formatting a comment, not just the text, is essential. Comments are mini Notes & need to highlighted in many ways. I don't have a sheet without Comments & I use Excel more that Word. In versions before the subscription version you could format a comment completely. Tried using call outs but need to preserve roll-over function as wells permeant view of comments.
