  1. Make opening files from disk as fluid as opening from OneDrive

    Opening from disk takes longer than opening from OneDrive

    That's a really cheesy move to increase OneDrive usage, please stop it

  2. Regression Data Must Be In Columns

    Regression models generated from data in rows are incorrect. Additional independent variables are added with zeros for there parameters. The last two independent variables are populated incorrectly. To get a correct regression model solution I must arrange the data in columns.

    Same thing happens with Excel 2015 for Windows. Data must be in columns. This was not the case with the previous release of Excel 2013.

    It is a real pain to have copy and transpose the data into columns to get the correct regression model.

    What will it take to get this fixed?

  3. copy a table from Excel and paste it a Mail message keeping all original formats

    with 2011 version I am obliged to copy a table from Excel and paste it to Word, then copy from Word to Mail, in order to keep all original formats. Very slow and frustrating procedure. I hope the 2016 Excel version allows direct copy/paste of a table from Excel to a Mail message with all its original formats.

  5. Pivot table sort totals column

    Include capability to sort pivot tables by Totals columns/rows. This has been in the Windows version since 2010 at least. Why not include this basic feature in the Mac version?

  6. Keep graph format the same when scrolling to other data

    When I scroll down to a next set of data to produce line graphs for several items, the format of lines and markers changes, which I do not want (the idea is to produce multiple graphs with identical formats). I can overcome this by copying the graph- paste special-format (onto this graph) before I start scrolling, but I have to do this again each time I re-open the excel file. Very annoying.

  7. Asian fonts inconsistent in sheet name tabs on redraw

    There seems to be a problem with the display of Asian fonts.

    When I first type the names of the sheets, it works perfectly and displays with the expected font:

    When I change something in one of the sheets, however, and the names of the sheets are redrawn, the font for the Japanese and Chinese characters becomes bolder and harder to read, while the Korean script simply doesn't display at all:

  8. Function highlighting in formula bar

    Syntax coloring / Highlighting would be of great use.

    One should be able to toggle different highlighting (applying a colored background to certain parts of the expression) modes for the function bar.

    For instance:
    – a mode that highlights the current function
    – a mode that highlights all functions in different colors

  9. Adjust font size of formula bar

    I have been struggling with ultra-tiny characters in the formular bar when editing complex formulas. One should be able to increase the font size within the formular bar in order to better grasp complex formulas and color coding (colored brackets).

  10. Just One opening/start Dialog And my Own Cloud service and one more thing...

    Hi,
    1.) When opening Excel, you get the nice, open/recent/new dialog, ( Okay, its is New, recent then Open ;p ) then f.e. you choose open, then you got two choices OneDrive and On My Mac. If we choose MyMac then it close the dialog and then wait, wait, it opens a new file browser. Why?, why not open the file browser in the dialog itself? Much more smooth and logical.
    2) Would be nice if we could add( or an API for developers to write other or our own cloud services at the top left icon.

  12. Signature line needed in Excel 2016 for MAC

    I have several customers that would like to see the Signature line functionality that is available in the Windows version, also become available in the MAC version. This is needed for a variety of reasons, but the number 1 reason I hear, is so they can have employees 'sign off' on their timesheets, without having to print them or export to PDF. They have also called it 'Inking', where you can sign off with your fingertip.

  13. The printing/paper Portrait en Landscape Icon... And preview in setup

    I am confused, why is the landscape icon still Vertical with vertical lines, why not how it did looks like in the past, a horizontal paper with horizontal lines. I have always to look twice if I got the right one.

    Also it would be nice if one could see also a preview of the printing to be, document in the printing page-setup dialog.

    And the last for today, A keystroke or button to show the current page print area.

  14. CHANGE ATTRIBUTES OF THE CURSOR CELL

    I have just started using Excel 2016 on my Mac and find it extremely difficult to locate the position the cursor on the screen. It is an age thing and the eyes are going! I would like to be able to adjust the attributes of the Cursor Cell by:
    (1) Changing the Background Colour of the Cursor Cell and/or
    (2) Changing the Thickness of Border around the Cursor Cell and/or
    (3) Change the Colour of the Border of the Cursor Cell.

  15. Odd Clipboard Behavior

    I use TextExpander from Smile Software to do nearly everything on my Mac both personally and professionally. Currently, Excel is doing something that prevents TextExpander from accessing the clipboard the way it has in the past.

    I can use TE in Excel just fine until I copy something to the clipboard from Excel. At that point, TE stops working correctly. This is fixed by quitting and restarting Excel. I would consider this a bug, and it certainly ruins most of my Excel-related workflows.
    I post this here in the hopes that somebody at MS sees it or that some helpful…

  16. Don't show the return key in the formula bar/field.

    When you select a cell inside a table end the header does have a Return character, then you wont see the whole formula in the formula bar. Why? Why do we have to enlarge the formula bar downwards to see the whole formula. I have one table header which got 4 returns to have a nice layout, but when selectin a cell underneat, it looks terrible in the formula field or bar.
    Its also confusing,

  18. Keeping the Clipboard filled after Cmd=

    When I copy cell data into another, do f.e. Cmd=, then the clipboard is empty. Why? Just a bug for now or ment to be?

  19. A better Name manager

    Dear all,
    What I love, please read this a need, is a better Name manager.
    The size of the list is way to small. If you work a lot with names, then you get longer names which are not easy to select.
    Also would like to see an easier way to replace, rename and exchange Names and references. When I make a Template sheet with names/reverences and want to make multiply copies bij code or manualy, its a crime to change or update the Name.

    Good news! We are planning to improve the Name Manager in Excel for Mac. Thanks for your support of this request.

  20. Refreshing red knob not working when.....

    Not really an idea, but more a bug. When I got a sheet with two windows, and f.e each has a separate tab visible, and I save a dirty window ( red knob has a dot ) then not al red knob's in each window are updated.
