  2. Use spacebar to check/uncheck checkboxes in pivot tables

It would be really useful to be able to check/uncheck checkboxes in pivot tables without having to rely on the mouse i.e. using the spacebar

  3. Search result highlight

Please properly highlight the cell that contains the searched result. Show it with a different color or blinking border or something. Now it is very difficult to locate the cell containing searched result if there is a lot of content in the worksheet. Thanks.

  5. lock grid lines.

just like you can freeze panes, i cant seem to simply press a button to freeze my grid lines that i have designed. i have a bunch of custom cell styles, but when i insert or remove them they change my grid lines or delete them. very annoying. and why cant the layout just be the same as windows version. when ever i ask someone to help with excell they are normally of course windows based so just have no idea where things are.

  6. Excel for Mac change defaul CSV import separator

Every time I open a CSV file on my Mac I need to reformat the file as the default separator is a TAB. I suggest including a setting to change the default CSV separator configuration. 7. Excel for Mac - Find and Replace - No Formatting Option

"Find-and-replace with formatting in Excel for Mac (for example, change the text color or highlight certain words throughout a lengthy document). What I have found, however, is that apparently Excel for Mac doesn't provide this option. How is this possible? It's such a basic, fundamental function. The PC version of Excel lets you do this (of course)."

  8. Change the vlookup formula to have a default value if the formula returns an error

I have to wrap my vlookups in an IF statement to check for the result being ISNA. Would be amazingly helpfuly if it could take another input patameter to default on any error condition (e.g. 0 or space are ones that I would use most often).

  12. Warn when merging cells that comments and notes are lost

I've lost hours of notes in an excel sheet and didn't even realize the notes were deleted. So please add a warning or some indicator that warns the user that notes and comments are lost when you merge cells.

  13. Return the Data Entry Form, Please

Not a new idea, just return the Data Entry Form. I feel Excel has put itself back in the prehistoric era, maybe just a few seconds after the Big Bang, by removing the Data Entry Form capability. Why did MS remove it? It was around for decades, great feature.

  16. A permanently Floating Replace Window would enhance workflow

When having to replace similar but not identical cell content at many different places in a large spreadsheet it would sometimes be convenient if the Replace Window could be made permanently floating. Then you would be able to navigate to another part of the spreadsheet without having to close the Replace window -- while using the Find Next command in the Replace window is not a practical option -- and could then easily apply the same type of replacement in the new but slightly different cell area.

  19. Blank page in Print Preview bug identified and reproduced

I noticed this problem for a long time now and I found a way to reproduce it as follow. It is clearly an Excel bug that corrupts the file.

    1. Open a virgin file, add a second tab (sheet2) if not already there and save the file as and xlsb file (binary).

    2. On sheet2, define a print area in which your enter something.

    3. Open VB Project and set up visible property of sheet1 to xlSheetVeryHidden.

    4. Save the file, close it and reopen it.

When you try to print sheet2, the print preview shows a blank page. See the file TestError1 attached.…
