  3. implement a way to split cells in a table.

    Have a way to split a single cell in a table into multiple rows or columns (subrows and subcolumns of the main table)

  4. Allow setting cell padding

    I would like to see the ability to set the inside padding for all cells. Especially with wrapping text, I want some extra spacing between the text in adjacent cells to improve its readability. Currently I add blank columns/rows to add the spacing, but this makes navigation worse.

    E.g., for headers I want extra top and bottom padding, and for data cells something like 3pt left and 12pt right padding would give enough margin to keep text visually separate between lines.

    There is already an indent option, but this allows only changing one side, and thus is not able to…

  5. Duplicate a conditional formatting rule WITHIN the "Manage Rules" pane

    I frequently have conditional formatting rules that are nearly identical except for one minor detail. For example, if I wanted to highlight a cell red when it says "Apple" or "Cherry"," I have to create two completely different rules in the "Manage Rules" window from scratch. I would like to be able to duplicate a rule within the window, then change the one difference between them.

  6. Allow math symbols & equations to be used in cells like normal text?

    Please allow the math symbols that we can use in Excel ("Insert" > "Symbols") to be treated as normal text and not pictures.

    The fact they are handled like images makes formatting them difficult and tiring. This is a very important feature, please add it. Thank you very much!

  7. Copying and pasting hyperlinks

    When I disable autohyperlinking in Excel for Mac
    (Preferences - AutoCorrect and unchecked Replace the Internet and network paths with hyperlinks check box), it still autohyperlinks it when I copy and paste directly an email address or website url to a cell. When I paste to the formula bar, it does not hyperlink it. Is it possible to fix it so that, like in Excel for Windows, it won't auto hyperlink when I paste an email or url directly to a cell?

  9. Default to "Set precision as displayed" for every excel document I open?

    Please provide the option to "set precision as displayed" as a default preference in excel for Mac. It's ridiculous to have to remember to mark that option for every workbook.

  10. Preserve conditional formatting in Mac pivot table

    Please add the conditional formatting "Apply Rule To" feature to Mac Excel. This is already in Windows. It is insanely frustrating that I need to re-apply the conditional formatting to every column every time I expand a pivot table or add data or really do anything to the pivot table. Thank you.

  11. Fix the missing ADD TO PRINT AREA function

    In Excel for PC there are 3 options SET PRINT AREA, CLEAR PRINT ARE and ADD TO PRINT AREA, the last option is missing in Excel for MAC

  14. Request of revival of gradient color feature on cells

    I'd like to use Excel as sketch of the knitting diagram of Hawaiian codes.
    Then, I could express silver colors at Excel ver. before 2016, but now I cannot.
    I cannot make difference between silver color and gray color.

    To express such shiny color; silver, gold, I hope that the feature will be availeble again.

  16. Can't use Myanmar Unicode, Pyidaungsu Font on Mac's Excel

    In word and powerpoint of excel, we can use the font easily. But in excel the font is always misplace.

    Please find the solution for that.

  17. Add option to disable recent fonts

    It would be a great idea if there were a way to disable recent fonts.

    The recent font list can get clogged up very quickly when testing which font to use.

  19. Options to disable all and parts of auto formatting

    When importing data either from other applications or copy and pasting from other sources excel's auto-formatting corrupts data sets. It would be useful to have an option to turn off auto-formatting in part and in whole. This has been one of the biggest drawbacks of the programme for years now.
