  1. Please provide Power Query and Power Pivot as a regular feature for Mac

Importing data from other workbooks, using power query and then analyzing data using power pivot are the critical features needed by professionals for any data analysis. I got very disappointed after shifting to Macbook and paying of office 365 and not getting access to. these functionalities in excel. This is taking macbook users for a ride, though we are paying full for the MS office and not using it for free. I RECOMMEND EVERY MAC USER TO VOICE DISSENT FOR NOT GETTING ACCESS TO ALL FEATURES OF MS OFFICE DESPITE PAYING FULL PRICE.

  3. Power Query File ".iqy: is greyed out

When I want to do a Power Query in Excel for Mac, the URL needs to be saved as an "iqy" file. But this file is "greyed out" when I select "Get Data" and try to click on the file

  4. Increase capability of STOCKHISTORY function

The STOCKHISTORY function is great for getting the price history of one stock. Three suggestions:
    1. It could offer more utility if it could get the stock history for multiple stocks, and align the values with respect to dates. For example, if I wanted monthly close values for 8 stocks over a 4-year time range, it could return an array of 9 columns (1 date and 8 stock values) and 49 rows (1 header row and 48 monthly data rows).
    2. In addition to "daily", "weekly" and "monthly", it would be nice to have interval choices of "quarterly" and "yearly". …

  6. Money in Excel - Download all Transactions

Money in Excel is a great add-in and look forward to updates and additional sheets. Firstly lets allow us to go back and get transactions further. Have options for dates such as ALL transactions or from beginning of certain year.

  7. Web Query file is "Greyed Out" in Query Folder

I'm doing a Power (Web) Query in MS Office 365 for Mac using Excel.

I'm following the correct steps to do a Web Query in Excel for Mac but when I save my "iqy." file (URL) to my Query Folder, the file is "greyed out" so I can't select it do my Web Query.

But, as you can seek my 2 sample files are NOT greyed out.

  8. utf8 .csv import still not working properly on Mac Excel

It still doesn't import UTF-8 format CSV files correctly.

The workaround for using data import doesn't work either if there are carriage returns in text fields.

Why not simply add an option to select text encoding format when importing a CSV?

  9. Dividends under "stock" data tab.

For you stock add on under the data tab, you should really implement a way to include the last / current dividend amount / yield as a parameter to follow. I'm sure many many people would find this to be very useful and helpful for stocks / supplemental income tracking. I would appreciate any help I can get to make this happen... please! ; ]

  10. Problem in Microsoft Query window with OS Catalina language in French

Since my update of my OS in Catalina I have a problem on Excel when I want to create an ODBC import from DATABASE.
Excel closes when I validate the Microsoft Query window which contains my SQL script.
The problem is solved by putting my Catalina OS in English (I'm French).

  15. power query for mac

It's great that you guys have made Power Query available for mac users for office 365, but is it possible to also include office 2019 and 2016 in this update? As a costumer with no IT background I find it strange that Power Query is included in office 2016 and 2019 on windows but not on mac.

  16. Queries mac

Hi everyone, I've been trying to create queries on my macbook pro 16 inches from 2019 with excel version 16.36.

The way of doing it (create a text file with Word and replace the extension .txt with .iqy) is not working. When I import data via Excel the file is not recognised and thus impossible to open.

When I change the sample queries available on the macbook and import the data, it doesn't work either and a message of error appears.
I have run of options to create queries and thus am hoping from some help from the forum.

    Cheers,

  18. I can't create Queries with Excel 2016 :(

Hello I'm trying to create queries on my Macbook Pro 16" from 2019 using excel for mac version 16.36.
When I try the standard procedure, copy/past a link in a Word file saved as a Text file replacing .txt by .iqy, and then try to run it via excel the .iqy file is not even reachable.
You can see on the screen shot I took that the **** document can not even be opened. If anyone has an idea of how to fix this it would be great.
    Thank you for your help

  19. Open UTF-8 .csv

When opening UTF-8 encoded CSVs, text is still garbled, despite the previous issue raising this concern (below) being marked as completed - Excel fails to recognise the UTF-8 encoding.
