Recent Files
Behaviour of "recent files" appears to have changed dramatically with the latest release. The list is empty since the update, and the "Recent Files" Windows refers to a login, but provides no mechanism for login. You are mucking around with the workflow of your users. Why would you make these changes?

Excel keeps opening at login, even though the button is not selected. I can't stop it from auto opening when my computer starts.
Figure out how to TURN OFF AUTO OPEN. The option is NOT selected, but it keeps auto opening EVERY TIME I START MY COMPUTER. I have tried all the options on recommended, I am about to uninstall this program.

TURN OFF THE ANIMATIONS. Your developers are ten year old idiots who have no idea about normal work flow. Dumb apes that like shiny things
Whatever you turned off, it's not enough. I don't want or need animation moving between cells. No one does. Let us turn it off. Or I should just move on to another application perhaps. I've been waiting for MS to stop being useless for like 20 years now.

Ribbon: Allow import and export as in Excel for Windows
In Excel for Windows you can export and import ribbons.
In Excel 2019 for macOS you can't.
Please add that function.
To be honest, I'm disappointed about the fact, that users of the mac version have such disadvantages.
I cannot see any reason, why that feature is not offered.

Please add an option to choose UI language independently of the MacOS language
The idea is similar to what is described in the "Enable english formulas in Excel with any other predefined language" suggestion (http://bit.ly/2R268Gs)
Not only formulas in Excel, but the whole UI language should be an option, independently of the OS setting.
This would greatly help user support, education, helpdesk in multilingual environments1 vote -

Data validation dropdown arrow problem in frozen panes
There is a problem when using data validation with freeze panes.
The dropdown arrow does not display on frozen panes, but does on the unfrozen element. See attached example.

Simplify Keyboard Shortcut Customization
Tools > Customize Keyboard is a good start. Thank you for doing this.
A layout by tab is useless to users that don't think of excel as a collection of tabs. As excited as I was to see this feature arrive, I simply couldn't find any of the items I needed to change.
How about adding the ability to also find commands by menu bar title? This is easy to understand, and if the order matches the order of the items in the menu bar should be easy to find what we are looking for.
Finally, it doesn't appear we…

Abandoned features list
Microsoft must offer publicly information about features and functionality which was present in earlier versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Since versions of the product are branded in a consistent way, consumers (such as me!) expect that the function present in a previous version of, say, Excel, are still present in the new version. There is no warning or notice that this not the case, and it is a reasonable assumption in the absence of such a notice. But by buying Office 365 (pardon me, licensing) I am not receiving all the function which was in my previous version of…

Recent update (16.20) made ribbon HUGE and takes up too much screen space.
Please give me the ability to revert back to slim version that was in 16.17.

Selecting multiple cells in rows or columns that are wider than the screen view
When selecting multiple cells in rows or columns that are wider than the current screen view, I can usually only select the cells that are currently visible. This is a real problem when for example, I want to select data that might fill be hundreds of rows and/or hundreds of columns or even larger (I am currently working with a dataset that is more than 54,000 rows x 52 columns). The only way I can select multiple cells is to reduce the magnification on the screen so that the desired cells are all visible. Please fix this.

On long spreadsheets, offer a popup that will automatically freeze the first column or row of data.
On long spreadsheets, offer a popup that will automatically freeze the first column or row of data for easier reader use. I'm a teacher and I use excel for everything and this option is not always available on shared files.
