  1. Changes to VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP

    I suggest 2 changes in Vlookup/Hlookup:

    A. VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP functions user can only search for the lookup value in the first column/row, and the result column/row is always after (right/bleow) the lookup column/row.
I suggest to make it more flexible by letting the user decide which column to search in and which columns to retrieve the value from.

    B. Sometimes user need to drag lookup function to several columns and needs the column index to be incremented, for example to be 3 in the first column, the second column to be 4 and so on, I suggest to add new parameter…

  2. In Excel for Mac, fix the issue that the characters on the formula bar get corrupted when pasting a folder name in a cell

Copying a folder name and pasting it in a cell may not be a common operation, but sometimes we do so.
Therefore, it would be great if you could fix the issue that the characters on the formula bar get corrupted in the operation above.
This issue has not been fixed for a long time and is always reproducible.

  3. Data Validation to hold New dynamic Arrays function in Validation list

    Current Scenario
While using the dynamic arrays formula in data validation list is not returning the arrays values, we need when enter the dynamic arrays formula in a column then call the arrays using # in data validation

    Requested Solution
Allowing user to use the dynamic arrays formula in the data validation directly instead of using the helper column.

  4. Money for Excel-Allow the same transaction to be split into various catgeories.

Certain items, especially income, need splitting; in order to accurately separate expenses like withholding for taxes or healthcare premiums.

  5. Make Microsoft Excel for Mac EXACTLY THE SAME as Microsoft Excel for PC.

If Mac subscribers of Office 365 are getting less features and PC subscribers, prorate the Mac annual subscription accordingly. If not, MAKE BOTH VERSIONS OF EXCEL HAVE THE SAME MENU FEATURES!

  6. Need a way to turn off a recurring disclaimer after it presents itself a few times

I've started using the Stocks data types and now all workbooks that have them get the disclaimer banner on each sheet every time I open it up. After seeing it a few times, the user needs to have a way to turn it off. Otherwise , it just an annoyance. Thank you.

  7. Have UNIQUE() optionally ignore blanks

The new UNIQUE(), SORT() and SORTBY() functions are incredibly useful and they save a lot of time. It would be helpful though to allow UNIQUE() to optionally ignore blanks. I use UNIQUE() to build named arrays dynamically which I can use as a validation list for data validation. At the moment I have to create the list (e.g. SORT(UNIQUE(<some column in a table>)) and then created a Name using OFFSET() to ignore the blank at the start of the sorted list.

  8. Function for Classifying data as ABC instead of a series of "if cell in range A; classA; if cell in range B; classB...."

Using Frequency function, you can input a list of classes then compute the occurrencies of data selected as a matrix formula. What about classifying each item in the data interval in the class computed?
Instead of a series of "if data in rangeA; classA; if data in rangeB; classB;0;0...), why not using the same list of classes for a new function CLOOKUP or CASEIF(cell;classMatrix;classNameColumnIndex;<= or <upper range limit).
Examples: Pareto analisys, ABC, Inventory Cross analisys, Data stratification

  9. Excel for Mac.

    1. We need a simple function that can tell us the last date a change was made to a cell.

    2. We need a "find all" function that lists all examples in a separate box, together.

  13. add Let function to Excel for macOS

Please add the Let function to macos excel. Some people/colleagues are already using the Let function in the Excel Windows version documents and the file doesn't work on the Mac.

  17. Port ENCODEURL function to Mac Excel

Please include the ENCODEURL function in the Mac version of Excel. I don't want to keep having to ask coworkers to update my spreadsheets.

Why are all of the newer functions not ported to Mac?

  18. IRR and NPV Functions upgrade

Currently, IRR and NPV functions in EXCEL calculate present values by discounting initial number in the series.

It would be useful to provide option (or default setting) by which IRR and NPV are calculated without discounting data in the initial year (initial year is current year, so no discount is necessary).

If model requires discounting in the initial year, formulas could still be used by adding 0 to the beginning of data series.

Currently in this scenario both NPV and IRR has to be calculated manually, and formulas cannot be used.

  19. Colour every other row

Under "Conditional Formatting", have "=MOD(Row(),2)=1" as a preset.

    Amazing for dyslexics/visually impaired

  20. Make excel shortcuts comparable to those on a Windows.

Not just simply copy and paste but shortcuts to the tool bar.
