  1. Issue with text fonts and size in graphs

    EXCEL 2016
    I have a graph with x values from -2 to +10. The font type and size are consistent for the 0 to 10 labels on the X axis but the -1- and -2 labels are a different font and a larger size. And these two tables are not in alignment, being lower down than the other labels. I cannot seem to change this to make the labels all the same. Is this a glitch or yet another feature that requires another scavenger hunt.

  2. Excel - Format a comment in every way, not just text. Essential.

    Formatting a comment, not just the text, is essential. Comments are mini Notes & need to highlighted in many ways. I don't have a sheet without Comments & I use Excel more that Word. In versions before the subscription version you could format a comment completely. Tried using call outs but need to preserve roll-over function as wells permeant view of comments.

  3. Merge Down option - just like Merge Across, but Down. Quick Add.

    There exists a "Merge Across" option. A "Merge Down" option should also exist. So you can highlight multiple rows in multiple columns, and you can merge down, so the rows in each column merge, keeping the columns separate. Same principle as Merge Across, just Merge DOWN. Quick add.

  4. Some commands do not work in Quick Access Toolbar

    I need to have certain commands available on the QAT. I use Paste Values a lot but although I can place it in the QAT, it does not work from that location. Please look into this.

    Actually the QAT needs a complete rethink in my opinion. It is given so little prominence, especially when compared to the enormous amount of real estate occupied by the ribbons and their huge content of commands, most of which are not required on a regular or even irregular basis.

  6. Hebrew Lunar Calendar

    Excel gives calendar support for the Arabic calendar.

    I am sure there are many highly technical users working with spreadsheets with arabic calendars (pyrotechnic engineers? Pilot trainees?)

    Certainly Microsoft is making enough money off the backs of the many Jewish engineers working for them in Israel, that they could finally get around to converting the Lunar calendar, which would Jewish Excel users to sort a column on Jewish dates. And please add it as patch for Office 2011, as many are more comfortable with that version vs later revs.

  7. Fix struckthrough text so the strikethrough is actually visible

    Struckthrough text in Excel 2016/365 is almost impossible to distinguish from regular text. Please make the strike clearly visible, like it was in Excel 2008. See attached screenshots.

  8. Add 'Inside Border' option to drop-down for table borders

    The drop-down for borders doesn't have an 'inside borders' option. It's got 'outside', 'all', 'top', 'bottom' etc, but not inside. Would make sense to have inside also.

  12. Add a DateTime Cell Format

    Excel has been around for what seems to be forever, and this problem has been around for what seems to be forever!

    When working with data, such as a database extract, all DateTime fields and considered to be a Time format. So 24/02/2014 15:30
    appears as 30:32.0.

    The function I use more than anything, but a long way is to reformat this cell to dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm. Every time, for a million times over the years!

    It would save the world hours of (confusion and) productivity time if Excel had a DateTime format, which combined our Windows preferred date format with…

  13. Automatic Style updates to formatted cells

    Modifying an existing Style does not update cell values using this Style. Win-Excel instantly updates format changes to a style. MacOS version requires to manually reapply the change style to all cells. Using OWA version fails as workaround as it does not support Styles.

    Issue seems related to missing formatting preview in MacOS version Win (Example: select cell, hover over new Filling color, cell instantly previews new color)

  14. Floating, reshapeable, self-customized command toolbars

    Along with Styles, the FLOATING, SELF-CUSTOMIZED TOOLBARS in Word and Excel were among their most valuable features. Performing the usual functions without immediate visual, local access to numerous commands--and, instead, having to go to fantastically time-and-energy wasting pull-down menus, or dreary, multiple tab accessed toolbars anchored at the top of the page--is pathetically absurd. (Just a few examples among maybe 100: in Excel the 4 command icons for Insert Rows and Columns, print area, wrap-text or not.   15. It would be nice to be able to add a space after the text or ??? in a cell on AutoFit (kinda like indent) so the columns won't be so bunched

    Add and option to include spaces on the right when you AutoFit in VBA like you do to the left (indent) to keep the columns from getting so tight. I think it would make it a lot easier to read. Not so bunched up.

  16. EXCEL for MAC

    Bonjour.
    Apparemment la fonctionalité suivante n'existe pas dans la version MAC et c'est bien dommage:
    "Evaluation de formule" dans Excel pour Mac 2011 qui, d'après l'ouvrage de Faïza Moumen Piasco, "Gestion Comptable avec Excel", éditions Eni,,2012 se trouve dans l'onglet Formule > Audit de formules > Evaluation de Formules et qui permet d'évaluer les formules imbriquées au fur et à mesure en soulignant chaque fois l'élément sur lequel il travaille. C'est un outil bien plus élaboré que l'outil de recherche des antécédents et très utile !

  17. Resize columns in multiple sheets at the same time in the same workbook

    In Office 2016 Excel on Windows, when I select multiple sheets, then resize a column in one sheet, that change is applied to all of the other sheets in the workbook. This does not seem to work on Excel 2016 for Mac.

  18. Bring back the "Paragraph" formatting feature for text boxes (previously available on the menubar)

    Excel for Mac 2011 previously included an option to edit features such as text alignment, indentation, line spacing, and other paragraph-related formatting features from the Format - Paragraph option on the menu bar.

    However, for some reason, this is missing completely from the menu bar on Excel 2016 for Mac. It is now only available when right-clicking inside a text box. Please see the following image for the menu:

  19. auto fit row height

    either missing or does not function properly as i have yet to find the setting - so i end up creating on the mac then editing on a windows box. Used to be that on the mac it was a better product than windows - if you are going to offer it then do not do it half-way

  20. Cell gradient compatibility with windows office

    Better compatibility and be able to apply gradient fill on cells.
    When a document with conditional formatting applying gradients on cell is done in windows an then opened on mac the same breaks and file lags everywhere until remove all the gradients.
    This shouldnt happen....
