  1. what if we added a choice to transfer sheets from bottom to left side instead of column A?

    what if we can add a choice for users to transfer sheets from bottom to left side instead of column A?
    as excel user, I start using first sheet, then second one then third one then I find myself using high NO of sheets which makes finding specific sheet boring and frustrating. and if we have high NO of sheets, it will be harder even if I name the sheets

    but what if we had the ability to transfer all sheets from bottom to left side from top as they fill all column A and column A starts the next…

  2. Cell formats in Excel for Mac

    When modifying the format of a cell in Excel for MAC, one should be able to either save a custom format (currently it disappears when you shut Excel) or edit a default style or add a style to the drop down list. I have a date format I like and have to re-create if every time I want to apply it.

  3. In the recent update to excel 2019, the feature to format cells using find and replace has been removed. Please bring this back!

    In the recent update to excel 2019, the feature to format cells using find and replace has been removed. Please bring this function back!!! If you have a list of thousands of numbers and you need to search out a specific number then you could replace the cell format with a background color to highlight the cell. Basically you could highlight all cells that contained the number you were "finding." Now this isn't possible and I have to sort throug thousands of numbers using the find next and getting out of the function, then highlighting, then moving on to the…

  5. Please include the option to open Form Responses in Excel 365 in addition to opening or downloading in to Excel on the desktop.

    In Google forms, you can view responses in a spreadsheet format. On my MacBook, it only gives me option to open it in the desktop application. I'd like to be able to access the live versions.

  6. When creating forms, I'd like to be able to rearrange my questions instead of deletng them and recreating it again later.

    In Google forms, questions can be rearranged after you've created them. I can't do this in Office forms. Please add that feature. It is too cumbersome to have to delete the question(s) and rewrite them if you need to reorder the questions.

  8. Correct border changes

    When I change existing border settings in cells, rows, or columns the new setting is ignored, and instead, the previous settings are even removed.
    I am using Office 2019.
    Before when I made changes to border setting, for example replacing a thinner with a thicker line, I just had to select the new line style, click the border I wanted to change and the new line style was set.
    Now, when I do the same, the new line style is displayed right after clicking the border I want to change, but when ok'ing back to the form, the border line…

  9. paste cells into image without box and background

    In a previous version of Excel, I could paste a selection of data cells into an image previously pasted on a spreadsheet page. This was usually a column of text used to label electrophoresis bands arranged horizontally on the image. In the previous version, the text would paste independent of the cell background and outline box. This is what I want. I could make the list horizontal by rotating it, and sizing it to fit the columnar data in the image. The text labeled the columns perfectly and clearly.   10. Format paint button work for graphs

    Make format paint button work for graphs- click a graph copy format (size, fonts, maybe even legend colours etc- or maybe give us option as to what formats to copy). Give ability in both excel and powerpoint etc

  11. When I type "05-31" it should echo "05-31" not the ugly, stupid "31-May

    If I type "05-31" it shiould echo "05-31", NOT the ugly "31-May" !
    If I had wanted "31-May", I WOULD HAVE TYPED IT THE FIRST
    PLACE!

  12. Keep lines when filling cells with color

    Make it so lines between cells don't disappear when you add fill. Having the lines gone makes it hard to read across the sheet horizontally.

  13. useful minor suggestions

    Just moved from Excel 2011. to version 16.24

    1 there should be more space in the chart select data window so it is not necessary to scroll to change details
    2 any way to avoid the auto insertion of "." after inserting 2 spaces very annoying ??
    3 formatting from the home tab should work universally and not be greyed out for certain actions on charts
    4 the last format used should be remembered for reuse
    5 the home copy format button should work for charts.

    Hope you find theses ideas useful and can implement them in coming versions

  14. Allow Excel to Mac the ability to change forumla and CSV delimeters.

    Excel on the Mac has not ability to change the delimiters in the formulas and CSV exports. CSVs do not use ";" as delimiters, and if you have your regional settings customized for regions like South Africa, it forces formulas to use ";" and also CSV files have the ";" requiring you to edit them and find and replace each ";" with an ",".

    Update Conditional Formatting wizards on Excel 2019 for Mac - to Excel for Windows.

    Conditional Formatting panes were completely revamped on Windows in Excel 2007. The Mac version UI still uses the legacy design that's over a decade old

  17. Create a new cell format to handle time duration

    When I click on "Format Cells..." I get the standard list of various formats. There should be a separate "Duration" format in this list, to handle time duration, AS DISTINCT FROM time-of-day. This is needed when entering time durations, for example, the timings for a piece of music or of a film. Also, this Duration format should include the option of entering MINUTES:SECONDS without hours.

    I have tried to find a way to work around the lack of this basic simple format, visiting numerous tech sites and support sites, and I was shocked to discover that there is no way…

  18. REMOVE the permanent "Color" in all rows and columns or at least make it user friendly to remove!!!!!!!

    REMOVE the permanent "Default Color" in all rows and columns when downloading an excel spreadsheet from a financial institution or at least make it user friendly, so i can figure out how to remove them! I cannot locate the "TABLE" TAB that you so diligently describe in your HELP section!!!!!

  20. Please make date format codes language independent

    I work in an international environment and I got the following issue concerning date formatting:

    1. CODE SET FOR DATE FORMATTING:
    On MacOS, the code set used for number/date... formatting (and also for separators in formulas and default delimiters when opening CSV files) is based on the "region" parameter set up in the region & language preferences of MacOS.
    In my case, I often share Excel files with people whose preference are set to "France" or "United Kingdom" or "USA" according to the person.

    In English environment, code for "year" is yy or yyyy. But in French environment, it becomes…
