  1. Copy Format by taking (with mouse) the left corner of the cell

    As well as you may copy the complete cell selecting the bottom-rigth corner, with this new feature you may be able to copy both; only the format or only the values (your choise on settings) by using the "upper left corner".

  2. In the Replace dialog, CMD+A executes Replace All instead of selecting all the text in the current field

    when replacing text, if I CMD+A to highlight all of the field, it instead executes the Replace All command...............

  3. Excel for Mac | Spell Check for different languages

    Make spell check for Excel 2016 work with different languages.

    Spell checker works in other Office Apps (Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, etc.) but not Excel as it only detects English language in Mac OS Mojave.

    Coordinated with Mac Support for possible compatibility issue but they directed the case back to Office 365.

    The Quick Access Tool bar on a Mac needs to be able to be moved below the Ribbon as on the Windows platform

  5. Bring back custom keyboard shortcuts

    This is NOT the case. There is no option for Customize Keyboard in the Tools menu in Excel 2016 for MAC. You guys blew it when you removed the ability of a user to create a custom key combo to complete a command.

    For example I always used the F1 key to delete cells and rows, which I do a lot. I used Option+click to add…

  6. Remove "Copy of" to Save as in version 16.17

    In Excel version 16.17, when you click on "Save as" it adds "Copy of" to the filename. In all previous versions, it never did this. Please remove the "Copy of" in the next release of Excel for MAC.

  8. customize excel default settings, e.g. for charts

    hi! i want to suggest to you the implementation of a possibility to change excel default settings, e.g. for charts. i’ve talked to your friendly support team about one such example, but they couldn’t help me with something that’s not programmed.

    i’m a chemist. like million other natural scientists, students and experts, i work with lots of complex and diverse data, every day. while the modern versions of excel offer many great and even fancy features, customization possibilities have shriveld. the template feature performs badly and really is only useful if applied to the exact same data set-up.

  9. Still no 'live preview' function in any version of Office for Mac.

    Live preview has been a very useful feature of Office programs since 2010, but it's still not featured on any Mac version, at least up to and including Office 2016. Why not??

  12. Insert Sheet Row As Default Instead of Insert Copied Cells

    When data is on the clipboard, clicking "Insert" in the Ribbon automatically inserts that data, again and again and again. I'd rather disable this "feature" or enable inserting blank rows/columns instead of the clipboard data.

    I often insert the data and then two or three blank rows after it, but this keeps on pasting the data on the clipboard. It's a huge pain.

    Let us customize how Insert works (Ribbon button).

  15. Text formatting

    Can we please have a one button control in the formatting tab which will format text to upper, lower, sentence or proper case. Eg:

    upper --> UPPER
    LoWeR --> lower
    sentence Case -->Sentence case
    proper case --> Proper Case

    I would write a macro to do this but the VBA editor is useless.

  16. First Comment Keystroke Not Recorded

    When creating a new worksheet cell comment or editing an existing one, Excel 2016 (Office 366) fails to recognize and record the first key stroke which, in turn, forces the user to go back to the beginning of the comment and add that missing first character.

  17. Not working anymore the shift+cmd+* shortcut!!

    Hi!

    Could you please help me with the following issue related to this post?
    I have Excel 2016 in a Mac and previously I was using the following shortcut to select ONLY VISIBLE ROWS from filtered data:

    SHIFT + CMD + *

    After that I could copy the data and will copy only the visible information and not the hidden information, or I could delete only the visible rows without deleting the hidden ones.

    But a month or so ago after an update I cannot longer do that and when I do SHIFT + CMD + * what it does…

  18. After upgrade to Office 365, "cut and paste" does not work correctly.

    In Excel 2011, if I cut or copied a cell to Clipboard and then inserted a row, I could paste the item in Clipboard into a new cell. With Office 365, if I cut or copy a cell and then do anything such as inserting a row, the Clipboard is erased. This is such a fundamental action in Excel - cutting and pasting - that the "improvement" should be undone. I'd like to know when this fix is accomplished. Thank you.

  19. auto correct in a text box

    why doesn't auto correct work in text boxes???
    I use text boxes in my quote template and i always have to write everything out. i have created some of my own text replacement inside of the auto correct preference tab so i do not always have to type out common things i write. They will only work in a cell and not a text box.
    this is very annoying and also time consuming. e.g. si = Supply and install.

  20. Touchbar "edit cell contents" shortcut

    Please put a "edit cell contents" touchbar button roughly where F2 used to be. Would save me hours. Much more useful than the current "Paste" button.
